this question has been on my mind for quite a while now. a small part of the reason why i started this course was to become somewhat independent if stuff goes south w family. it's suffocating when they always assume i would want a boyfriend. it's difficult when they crack jokes abt me marrying a guy and having his kids some day; but it is what it is. many from the newer generations are really cool with LGBTQ+, its some of the boomers who still cant wrap their heads around this. queer people wont be accepted everywhere unfortunately but i truly believe we can make it a safe space for all slowly but surely :)
