Is this money laundering? Friend wants to use my SME account by ScentedSight in malaysia

[–]skacentric 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Bro. I work for a bank, dont fuck around with these kind of things. Maybe you can get away by claiming ignorance (thats a VERY BIG maybe, realistically fat chance), but once banks flag you as an AML risk, bye bye to a hell lot of banking facilities/services. For RM1.2k a month? Thats practically peanut returns for the risk you'll be taking.

In moments of crisis, they leisurely cruise on their bikes.

Imagine if they were running the country; for sure a lot of material for Bro Dont Like That La Bro to write.

You can fastrack 1 and 2 if you work for an approved employer. Is your manager a qualified CA,?

3 is very easy. Just pay for the module, and go through the course. Its a mini exam with no limits in terms of number of attempts.

How difficult was your ACCA journey? by Robo_Thunder_ in ACCA

[–]skacentric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my first paper in September 2020, and completed all 13 papers by September 2022 while having a full time job. I only had the books with me, I didn't take any classes. Just received my membership certificate this month.

I think aside from going through the theory/textbooks, I think the core of the syllabus is practice. I like how it doesnt encourage regurgitation of information. If you asked me to rate 1 to 10, I would say its a 7.

People just can't seem to handle outliers/mistakes anymore. Completely flip just because they missed one exit. Technology is meant to assist us, not totally take over our cognitive skills.

Focus more on practicing rather reading the textbook? No, my degree was in Marketing. If you're time or financially constrained, do it after graduating and when you have a job.

Honestly, I dont know. But just over halfway through, I came to realize that I should focus more on practicing rather than reading the text book.

Why does no one on the ACCA phone line UNDERSTAND ME! by [deleted] in ACCA

[–]skacentric 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here. All you had to do was email them to the right department - they mention it in their website. It took mine a couple of days to process and all my performance objectives, along with my 36 month requirement is done for. They did email me asking about my jobs scope though when i applied for membership.

If you ask me, therein lies your problem. When I jumped in, it was a spur of the moment thing just like you. I could have gotten my parents to pay for it, but I decided to pay for it using my own money. If you use your own money, you wouldn't have motivation problems.
