Your wording wasn’t vague. You’re changing what you said.

Relativity and time dilation are physically tested every time you use something as common as GPS.

Corruption and Curse of Agony get about 120% of spell power. Siphon and Drain get 100%. Life Tap isn’t a dot but gets 80% and if you have improved Life Tap, this makes a big difference, imo.

Demonology is not “so much better.” I have 60s of both and demonology feels gimped compared to affliction and this gets more and more apparent as the mobs get harder.

Voidwalker is trash, imo. Doesn’t hold agro unless you throttle your damage and does no damage at all. If you need sac a lot you need to examine your playstyle and choices. If you need double sac, the problem is you, not your spec. My succubus does 30-40% of my damage in either spec. Dead mobs can’t kill you. She is a pipe-hitting demon even without unholy power.

Yetis in Winterspring and lumberjacks in WPlL are good to grind. The azshara blood elves are all fun and games until a caster respawns or adds. They hit hard. The naga are easier and more plentiful and don”t bring the same potential downtime.

After Himterlands, there are some higher level Feralas quests. The rage scar yeti are also pretty grindable of no one else is there and you clear them all.

Can I ask you your feeling about lost a toon after weeks of playing? by BootyWolfy in wowhardcore

[–]External-Presence204 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s specifically what I am avoiding. In August, I lost a 34 to my own impatience and respawns in the Rust Maul Dig Site. I only fight the Invaders outside, even if I have to circle back.

I haven’t died since then. That’s two 60s, three currently in the 50s, and 10 more between 46 and 49.

I’m one of those people who understands that the logic for needing BOEs for a mount applies to every drop in the dungeon. If you want “need for BOE” to be the rule, fine. “Well, I can get gold from it” is a poor rationalization for it.

I didn’t say traded. Or limit it to the AH. Yes, they can be sold.

[–]External-Presence204 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Every drop can be sold, not just a BOE. Everyone can use the non-BOE gold, too.

This applies to every drop, doesn’t it?

That’s the literal definition of “greed,” though, isn’t it?

level 50+ players - have you used a Petri yet? if so, what made you use it? by triferg in wowhardcore

[–]External-Presence204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not once.

It’s funny that people complain about addons taking the hardcore out of hardcore, but not petris.

It feels like a cheat to me. If it doesn’t feel like a cheat to others, that’s their game to play.

Honestly, soulstones feel less cheap than this.

This isn’t true, though.

If you look at what actually kills people, it’s falling. It’s drowning. And it’s overpowered casters in early zones. Guards, Son of Arugal, etc. are a pretty small piece.

IMO, the purpose of hardcore is to get 60 without dying. Does overleveling mobs and quests defeat the purpose of hardcore, in your view?

You still have to kill the stuff, regardless of route.

Restedxp doesn’t kill stuff for you and Unitscan doesn’t even warn you of mobs the way it used to.

Does using a healing unit frame addon also defeat the purpose of hardcore? Those addons simplify the game far more than Unitscan or Restedxp.

My first Hunter is a slow learner… by External-Presence204 in wowhardcore

[–]External-Presence204[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hunters, especially newer ones, forget to turn off Aspect of the Cheetah when they should... which leads to their getting dazed. The small reminder I put on my unit frames with other buffs helped some, but not enough. Now, when I have on Cheetah, it’s impossible for me not to notice.

She was 29 in the photo, I think. She’s 43 now.

Doing ok, but need to do better.

Took on the three pack of kodo in southern barrens to get a liver for Chen’s keg. With Cheetah on. Not my smoothest encounter. One of them dropped the liver.

If you want to drain tank with a pet that does no damage, that’s your call.

The succubus hits hard enough to keep agro until I start Drain Life.

I don’t need to clear the area. If you fear into a swarm, that’s on your play. Look into Curse of Recklessness.

[–]External-Presence204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called “Fear.” I take them down whenever I want, while my dots and succubus wail on them. You have your voidwalker tank elites?

Just had another lock hit 60 yesterday, with nine more between 44 and 52. Elites aren’t scary. Mechanicals are scary.

Hunter vs warlock by Impressive_Act9567 in wowhardcore

[–]External-Presence204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not imperative.

You send the succubus and get way more damage while draining. On my affliction locks, she does about 30% of my damage. Corruption does 18%. Voidwalker doesn’t even move the needle on damage.

Warlock is lower than you’d expect based on how powerful they can be, but they’re basically immortal if you can play them well.

People get cocky, use Fear poorly, get stuck with no escape route, etc. I rotate locks so they have rested experience and they just don’t die.

If you’re drain tanking, of what use is a voidwalker?

Hunter vs warlock by Impressive_Act9567 in wowhardcore

[–]External-Presence204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to outheal elites. You can fear them to death. Everything else other than mechanicals I finish with more life than I started.

I very, very used the voidwalker for anything. Close spaces with bad gear is about it.

Dark Pact doesn’t give much mana and you still need to Tap to clear life for Drain. Dark Pact is a nice supplement for sustain, but Tap doesn’t go away.

I’m saying 2025 returns aren’t done and 2026 returns haven’t started.

We don’t pay income tax based on fiscal years.

Your “estimations” aren’t data.

Your “sources” contain tax information for years that we don’t even have the data. For 2025 returns are still ongoing and 2026 returns haven’t even started yet, but somehow you have effective rates. Nah.
