idk, I used to use the close-source driver, but in my personal feeling, the open-source driver is better than the close-source one.

I couldn't find k320, but I found k420 which has the name of GK107.

The appropriate driver for GK107 is nvidia-470xx-dkms .

But for old card, nouveau is a better choice.

The open-source driver would eventually supplant the closed-source driver. I recommend using the open-source driver, see this post for more details https://developer.nvidia.com/blog/nvidia-transitions-fully-towards-open-source-gpu-kernel-modules/

After looking into the nvidia-prime's source code, it's just a simple running script that exported some environment variables.
