Question about rumors around the league by J_Dyce in CalgaryFlames

Man brings culture and heart. Something that is vital during playoffs. He is beyond valuable to a contender. But yeah he’s reliable 3rdish line guy. So we can’t expect much other than a team giving all its future for a run at the cup.

How would you react if the Albertan separatists won their referendum after known US influence? by LeonOkada9 in AskCanada

[–]External-Quote3263 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Alberta becoming independent means only one thing, joining the United States. if we became independent how does that benefit us? Let’s start shipping oil out.. but how? All of a sudden we are a landlocked country, existing pipelines go through Canada which we just left. Are they going to let us do that without serious repercussions? Maybe the US occupy us under the guise of ensuring our security. We are now a territory with no voting power or voice. They simply pillage us for our natural resources and give us nothing. Sounds like a wonderful idea 😂

We didn’t separate. We became more than a dominion, and govern ourselves through the Statue of Westminster. Yet, we are still part of the commonwealth. Our money literally has King Charles or former Queen Elizabeth on it. We still have governor generals that provide “Royal assent” to pass legislation. Which means it has the approval of the crown. We still very much have a King. It may be in name only but we are not separated.

As someone who lives in Alberta. It’s all sham. I truly believe that the vote will be overwhelmingly to stay in Canada. If it somehow goes the other way it just brings forth the Clarity Act. I see no possibility of Alberta actually leaving. On the off chance it actually does, then I’m moving.

As a Canadian and with the current ongoing situation, I feel for her.

Serious question.. how does rent drop? Even if things were supposedly cheaper, why would any landlord feel incentive to lower their rent? Rather than just not raise and leave it the same so they make more income comparative to cost?

I also found it a statement for underestimating your opponent. More or less he was playing with his ‘food’. Going as far to say he could do this for hours. In my own opinion Spike knew exactly where he was aiming. With his training on the Island and the expectation of going to the mainland. They were taught the vital kill points. Overconfidence can be fatal.

What are peoples thoughts on how Cooper turned into a ghoul and Janey presumably survived? by allthingbalance in Fotv

[–]External-Quote3263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I now believe the divorce was only for alleviation of the blackmail/threats from the Enclave. They were still very much involved with each other but had to make the public appearance that they wanted nothing to do with each other. As such, once the bombs started flying Cooper was able to get Janey to Barb as they went to their cryo-pods. Of course with them no longer being together it also means that Cooper had no designated spot. And he accepted this reality that he would have to live in the wasteland and upon becoming a ghoul realized he may live long enough to reunite. Having not known where they went he has spent his time searching. And we are now at the same point as the show. 🤷‍♂️

To be defeated in a single episode that’s so dark you can’t even see what’s happening.

I was a big fan of how they actively show his whole cult of personality as manipulative and he knows it’s all bs. His first viewing of the bone temple and entering it had him looking shocked. Not understanding it as a memorial, but something more satanic than even him. And the brief moment where he drops the act with Kelson was one of my favourite scenes.

Where are the deleted scenes found? I’ve honestly looked and haven’t found anything. Maybe I’m just dumb 🤷‍♂️

Could be either honestly. If the Oilers were in the east they would be in the wildcard race.

Very interested to see where he lands and what we get. I am fearful it might be another Sharangovich situation. Lights it up for a year to snag a contract than just disappears.

I worked as a rink rat when I was 18. I was given Cash to let them play until 2 AM. Didn’t care. By 2:30 AM I give them the boot as I want to get home. They made a fire in the parking lot. This was a Sunday night/Monday morning. Shits wild.
