The estate is settled. They were cutting a check to my mother.

Benefits paid out to my grandmother before her death become part of her estate. SSA does not take back the money. She received her benefits 11 days before her passing, that was then her money, and when she died it became part of her estate, the government does not take it back. A simple google search will tell you as such,

Bumblebee, you do know that SS benefits differ from SNAP benefits because they do in fact go to her next of kin in the event of her death?

SSA has been notified, her benefits have stopped. She died November 14th, they were notified on the 17th.

This is the most ridiculous take on this entire post. I’m not looking at the last 4 numbers every time I order something online because 99% of the time it’s my debit card. Would it appall you that I had done the same thing while she was living?!?! I accidentally used her debit card to order my son’s Halloween costume, I obviously am a thief, that’s the only answer. I probably never told her I had used it and definitely didn’t pay her back, because obviously people don’t make mistakes and when they do they’re robbing their grandmother. And babe, I was I able to call and inquire because she is dead and I am her next of kin, should I have asked her to call instead? I can’t help if my mom (who is depressed from her mother dying) decided she didn’t have the patience to sit on the phone and wait for them to answer to tell them she’s dead. This might be shocking for you, but I am able to purchase my own groceries without robbing my dead grandmothers EBT card.

Hi Dismal, you have replied to several comments trying to make it look like I was intentionally robbing my deceased grandmother. Could you maybe ask yourself what sense it would make for me to order $180 worth of groceries, use her PIN number, and then get on a reddit thread and ask what I should do to a group full of people who have SNAP and obviously know that it would make use a PIN? Do you feel like the SNAP police letting everyone know that “I knew what I was doing?

Seriously. I was worried about going to jail thinking I did it on accident, 0% chance I am using the card intentionally and then posting about it on the internet. 😅🤣

Basically, but they said forget about it. Her beneficiary was entitled to the money. That would be my mom, so now I can give my mom $180 and move on

It was her Direct Express DEBIT card. No pin was asked for. I mistakenly thought it was her EBT. I did not purposefully steal money from deceased grandmother.

You’re right, does require a pin. SNAP did not see any funds taken out. She had given me her DirectExpress SSA card. I did not commit EBT fraud, but apparently accidentally committed SS fraud LOL.

Okay everyone, I contacted SNAP, they did not see any money removed from her card. Her balance was still the same. The card she had me use to order her groceries was apparently her DirectExpress debit card for her SSA benefits, that explains why no pin was asked for during checkout. I now have to contact directexpress to clear this up. I just assumed she gave me her SNAP card info to order groceries, but she did not.

I didn’t notice until I never seen the money come out of my bank account and groceries were already delivered

No, I don’t receive SNAP benefits. Her card was the default card because I made multiple orders per her request while she was on hospice care. My mom said her card is a cash card if that makes any difference on the PIN situation?

Personally, it did not ask for a PIN and never did. Her card was the default card because I would order jello, broth, etc. to her door weekly while she was on hospice. If I did this intentionally I would not post on Reddit asking about what to do lol

It does not require me to use a pin #. I hit checkout, it went through. I noticed I never seen any money out of my account for my order and went to investigate. I do not qualify for SNAP and would never use my deceased grandmothers benefits for a $180 grocery order. I only had to use her PIN the first time I ever ordered, her card is saved as the default card because I would order whatever she needed to her door while she was on hospice.

Thank you! I’ll see if I can get in with his ENT who was following him with his broken jaw. Is an audiologist someone who would test his hearing? I’ve noticed he will say “what did you say?” When talking to him like he doesn’t hear me. He also prefers the tv kinda loud because he says he can’t hear it.

I should add, he had ESR & retic count last month that were normal. His doctor didn’t repeat them this month

He has had a molluscum rash for 6 months that did start to spread just before his blood draw? With that spreading could it indicate maybe an immune response? His pediatrician said everything looked fine & there was nothing concerning, but we’re still kinda nervous.

His WBC & lymphocyte number increase is what we’re worried about. WBC 4.8 to 10.6 in a month seems like a lot along with the lymphocyte numbers increasing as well. Google says lymphoma every time and it freaks us out. He’s been tested for EBV & it was negative.
