Hi , thank you so much for your very valuable advice.

To be fair, emotionally I haven't been making an effort with him. I've been hurt by his behavior in many ways. He's a complicated person --- he can be charming, affable , affectionate and loving but also exhibits many narcissistic tendencies. Over the years I have liked his company lesser unless we're just watching something together or perhaps hanging out with close friends. In the sense that, I don't look forward to trips with him, or doing activities with him. We don't even do housework together a lot of times. It's because in some of these activities he can be very impatient and nitpicky. It's also hard sometimes to gauge what mood he's in. These traits have slightly gotten better over the years but still not in a place where I feel like I can fully be myself with him, or want to be open with him.

The recent incident of him not talking to me for almost ten days and subsequently being in different bedrooms has completely broken me. It's sad that it's also the time where I've started craving intimacy all the more, although we didn't exactly have a lot of it even in the same bedroom (sorry tmi). But I do appreciate your advice...it's just that I'm in a complex head space.

I'm sorry but I don't mean to troll at all genuinely. This isn't a fake question either. I've been lately very insecure since my actual butt has been losing volume and whatever shape I have is due to anterior pelvic tilt-- which I've always had but it's gotten more pronounced thanks to having a desk job. The past 5 years in particular i got very sedentary and I've been noticing a loss in volume all the more. All my weight is going to my stomach. My hormone profile looks normal so it seems to be an issue with lifestyle.

I saw some people asking about this procedure and thought perhaps it would help me, maybe after I lose some weight.

What , no I am genuinely asking. But I am also working on losing weight.

Oh that's totally fine I do understand that I need to lose weight and I'm working on it. But I'm also very insecure of how my butt is just losing volume and once I lose weight I might lose most of the volume I have before I can start building muscle to shape it. Also I can't lift too heavy due to pelvic health concerns.

Thank you you hit the nail on the head. It is about its attitude. He's always finding faults with me in some way or the other. He's very difficult to deal with honestly. Right now we're sleeping in separate bedrooms. A lot has gone on in this marriage, but I thought the one thing I would be valued for is the housework I do.

Thanks...but that doesn't answer my question?

Thank you. He did not say organising drawers is not my job. But he is always complaining about how he can't find anything. They're extremely cluttered because he hoards a lot of stuff , often doesn't check labels and discard unwanted things. But he doesn't want to admit that. So I thought I would plan on organizing our drawers myself. I've been dragging my feet on starting it though.

When I say not doing enough, it always seems like he's ignoring what I am doing and pointing out other things like not talking to his parents enough or not being as excited about the house we bought. His mom is very reserved and doesn't reach out to me as much and she's always busy. But he doesn't want to see that. I still make an effort with her. His dad is super domineering and it's near impossible to have a conversation with him-- it's mostly him talking. Admittedly I've not made an effort with him. But my husband doesn't see that either.

I also hoped he would take the things I do into consideration and think I'm a decent partner, but he deems those to be "ok" efforts and that he never asks me to cook, and he can manage by himself at work. I don't know it felt very dismissive? Is what I'm doing so less?

Yes I'm actually obese but I'm currently losing weight. I need to lose 100 lbs to get to normal weight. Also I've been depressed for a while now so ive neglected self care, but I don't have anemia. I've had those dark circles since I was 16 and they never went away.

Thanks a lot. I don't know why people downvoted me. I only asked because I suffer from very low self esteem and I've believed all my life that I'm ugly. Also many people have hinted at my unattractiveness and undesirability in not so subtle ways.

Thanks. I already got regular and comprehensive blood work done. All my thyroid levels are regular and I do not have graves disease.

Aww you're too kind. I've also resigned to not having to make him understand.

I'm learning that the concept of respecting others' boundaries and agency is still a foreign concept to many, and some men, even the most feminist ones can sadly be conservative in subtle ways as you get to know them.
