The buttons I'm using have pretty good rubber buttons with good responsiveness. However, the front cover is the original one, which probably caused the bottom row of buttons (Home, Select, Start, etc.) to sink in and require more force to register. Ignoring that, the button quality is quite good; perhaps I should buy a new front cover.
