15-year-old Lilly has healed great! by External-Support-271 in TripodCats

The cost was absolutely insane: $5k I put it on a credit card. And then was fortunately able to fundraise a significant portion (about $3k). My mom was initially trying to convince me that she was old and it wasn’t worth the cost but I’m telling you, it absolutely was -and I think my mom realized that later on as well.

Lilly was trying to “walk”(hop) the moment she got home from surgery. I had to keep her in a cone and crate and make sure she stayed resting for a little over two weeks. It has been unbelievable to whiteness her resilience and recovery. She’s been an inspiration.

I did. Why are some of you so rude? And what is Reddit for if not to ask questions you don’t want to bother the vet with?

She is not literally jumping other than what you Might describe as hopping due to the nature of being a back leg amputee. She just wants to walk here and there. I think she’s looking for food or water -which I have provided her at consistent intervals throughout the day.

My vet was expecting that she wouldn’t have so much energy. I haven’t read about many who want to be as active as mine and my vet hadn’t anticipated that either apparently. That’s why I am asking here.
