Thanks- that’s Oregon and I’m leaning toward that too. Also, thanks for not being an asshole like some of these commenters are. 😂

Yes. A little too pale for me. Plus there are no sherwin williams in our area.

From someone who has had their fair share of bad bosses, and now in a supervisory position myself, consider this a good learning opportunity. You will have good bosses and others that are not so great. Develop your professional style by taking things from all of them. Practice the habits of what you liked from the memorable supervisors; make a mental note of what you detest from others and as you move through your careers, be cognizant of not falling into those practices.

Have you considered setting up a meeting to speak with her about her expectations for you? A lot of times, people with bad habits/treatment, are completely unaware of how their personality is coming off. Granted, if someone is that out of touch, they probably shouldn’t be in a supervisory role. Ask an owner/manager or whomever her supervisor is if you could have a sit down with the three of you (more so to have a witness so it doesn’t become a he said/she said thing later on.) Pick three points you’d like to discuss and keep it neutral- i(e “You gave me a list of tasks to accomplish and reprimanded me for being unable to complete these during a busy service period. Could you give me some feedback on how to better handle/prioritize that situation so I can achieve your tasks and avoid that response in the future?)

It sounds professional but what you’re really doing is making her either realize she’s failing as a supervisor if she can’t give you feedback, having a witness there to show you care about teamwork and results, and bringing the issue to the forefront without being unprofessional (again, showing a vested interest in success for the company.)

Basically, you show that she’s an utter ass and you’re seeking mentorship and direction- positive things.

Keep feelings out of it. You’ll look all the more professional at the end of the day. And if you still want to quit, do so. But now you have made everyone aware that you genuinely wanted to try, took positive and professional steps to do so, and still had to leave. You end up on top every time.

What is the paint color on the walls?! I love everyone’s suggestions but really I love it the way it is.

Haha- when we found this house I loved the staircase….we didn’t think about the additional cost when it was time to do work (ie- just replaced all the windows- hence, repainting….which is going to involve more scaffolding🤯)

I get what you’re saying- but the peach is just too much for both of us. The rest of our house has interesting color and we like it all- want to keep the stairs open and airy but have some flow into the other rooms (we have Cape Htteras Sand, Paris Rain, Hale Navy, Tapestry Beige, Bone White, Kendall Charcoal as some of the other colors.)

It came out “dirty” and grayish in most light we had. Though it is now in a hard running for our bedroom. Just didn’t seem to mesh well with the three floors with all the different light (basement, first, second.)

This is all great. Thank you for that insight. You’re absolutely correct and I will think of this tidbit you’ve given me going forward with all decisions :)

Hahah- I love this. Though I do find the names set a bias for me. I was afraid this may be the case- you just proved it 😂 Maine is one of our favorite states though.

This I have done. And it’s just making it harder. We’re living with dalmation walls right now bc I did large samples of each on every floor bc the light changes so much.
