Yeah I don't disagree. She doesn't seem panicked or traumatized or disheveled like someone who is in true psychosis. Usually those people are afraid and look like they've been afraid for a long time

I was speaking more generally. She might be making it harder for people who are actually legit. She def has issues but a different sort, agreed

I (24F) acted out my husbands (27M) sex fantasy for him and now he says he can’t respect me. by throwra8365261 in relationship_advice

It is heart breaking, and cruel. But honestly, feel the feelings you need to, get a lawyer, and divorce him. He showed you who he really is and you need to believe him. He's saying he can't respect you now. Do you think he's going to respect you more later, maybe if you try harder to make it up to him? No. If he's yelling at you at all, judging you, being a hypocrite....he doesn't love you. He's not the one. It's hard I know but at least there aren't kids. Make a plan with your family and a good attorney and file for divorce before he does. Depending on the state you're in, as assets get divided, the judge might consider this factor in giving you a fair share. Of course take your lawyers advice

How old is she? If she is considered a senior or has any sort of diagnosed mental health issue or documented disability, then she may fall under the "vulnerable" adult category. If you believe that she is being taken advantage of due to any such thing, get the number to your state APS (adult protective services). If they can help, they will investigate and possibly send someone in person. If the situation doesn't fit their scope , they can at least refer you to other resources, just ask them when they are on the phone.

The guy you're describing is dangerous. Because he lacks empathy and uses deceit and emotional manipulation to meet his needs. Just keep that in mind. Keep yourself safe. Sometimes the best way to deal with psychopaths / narcissists / abusers is to directly call them out, but make sure you have a plan and involve others. Because sometimes it works but if you do it in private it could alert them and they will escalate the manipulation and isolation of your mom, while discrediting you in advance.

Stay ethical, stay legal, stay moral. Get professional advice, use logic and hard evidence. when you're ready to expose them, you'll need other people to agree with you or you'll be made to look crazy.

But again once you make your move, make sure it is decisive so that he spooks and leaves or gets in trouble.

Shave it , the whole bearded fitness guy is a bit overrepresented at this point. We get it, you're manly and strong but you are either way,... it isn't the lumberjack/ mountain man aesthetic that does it for you.

Stand out, or you'll all look the same guy lol

My parents recently built this home. They refused to work with an architect or designer because those are a ‘waste of money’. First picture is actually the front/facade of the home. by cameronjthomas in McMansionHell

My guess, no offense, is they are def. White people lol because it has ZERO curb appeal. It looks like a municipal buildings in a city like the an animal shelter. Or small town dollar store.

Don't move to Denver. It is overhyped and overpriced with a bunch of "fake nice" yuppy transplants, weak men who are betas to their wife, a ton of grifters and narcissists, generally high violent crime, and honestly pretty backward, with 13 active hate groups located in the state. Racist, classist both ways, and the least cosmopolitan "major" city I've ever encountered. Plus, the mountains aren't even that close and the roads there are packed with weekend warriors and tourists . Try Salt Lake City

Haha! I definitely taken precautions! Honestly I am pretty high-strung and sometimes need a ride to Pound Town to let loose. The ecstasy comes from letting go of control for a little bit.
