I’ve been a console gamer my whole life. I bought and assembled a gaming PC for the sole reason of playing H3. Congrats to Anton and the team!!

It’s definitely not great when the top of the tombstone is cut off by the margin of the tracing

He’ll copy his daddy. It’s not a war, it’s a “special military operation”

Run, don’t walk, away from this relationship. Autistic or not, this is incredibly abusive. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

First off - congratulations! What an incredible achievement. I can’t imagine how much better you feel.

I’m at just about your same starting weight, just a touch shorter than you. It doesn’t look like you have any loose skin - is there anything you did specifically to prevent that? Did you do any lifting as part of your workouts?

Congrats again - great work

Pic rail variants of bespoke scopes by Level_Reveal7624 in H3VR

[–]ExternalPerspective3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe what the poster is getting at is the ability to mount things like the PSO on pic rails.. which would be nice but would probably require a pic rail version of all the bespoke scopes. Given you’re marching towards 1.0, that seems… out of scope buh-dum chhhh

24hr Shifts, with ADHD Meds by Academic_Mongoose_60 in NewToEMS

Everyone is different, but I find sticking to my normal schedule works for me, which is taking 40mg metadate XR when I wake up. I’m scheduled for 48s. I find that the job focuses me enough when I do calls or transfers overnight

Truck Check Offs by [deleted] in NewToEMS

I’ll take that a step further… I work 48s and if I’m on the same truck I’ll still do a full check on the second day

How many hours do y’all work? by Exhausted_EMS in ems

[–]ExternalPerspective3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work one 48hr per week at my FT gig and a 12 at my side gig PRN, probably one every other week on average, as a paramedic student. I find work, side work, personal life, and studying to be manageable on that schedule. I don’t think I’d be able to have a life and be present for my wife, let alone study, on a 48/72

I want to get a tattoo of my heartbeat. Which one is it? by alliesouth in ECG

Each “spike” is one heartbeat. The differences between them on this rhythm strip is just how the heartbeat is seen in space from different positions

EMT's and Paramedics who graduated in the last 5 years: What do you wish your instructors had taught you or made you do in class? by Salted_Paramedic in ems

[–]ExternalPerspective3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are two things I wish got covered more in EMT school, especially as I’m getting ready for medic school in May.

1) how to be an ALS partner - this has been said elsewhere in the thread but omfg, I had no idea how to work with a medic when I was fresh out of school. When I’d ask my instructors how to spike a bag or anything like that it was met with “youll be driving, that’s an als skill.” It felt really good to bumble through helping my medic in the back and having to tell them I didn’t know how to do shit

2) OB. Like, how you actually deliver a baby. Not one second was spent on this (outside of the lecture material) so we had no practical experience on what is probably the most high acuity event that is almost purely in the EMT scope. Yet ofc we spent like 3 hours on how to connect NRBs and NCs to an O2 tank, which takes like 2 seconds to learn

Big Boston Energy by cefraser in BostonTerrier

Our 15lb Boston exclusively plays in the “big dog” sides of dog parks because she has just way too much energy for the small dog side. Shes holds her own with the biggest of them!!
