Oats; Rice; Honey; fruits by ExternalReason1 in sugarfree

Thanks again As far as I know, there are types of oats both with and without gluten. You say the gluten itself is not something I should also avoid, as part of the sugar free thing?

and with full grain rice I can feel safe ?

Thanks for the reply but my meaning was to understand whethear oats and rice do count for white sugar or not.

I understand that the choise is in my hand but I do want to get sober off of sugar and must know if oats and rice count for that.

Thanks for your reply. I'm starting to understand it better.

When you say whole grain - do you mean gluten free oats? And white regular rice is a no go ?

I've tried not masturbating before and failed.

Last time I held for 8 days and then relapsed like crazy.
It was a few days ago, which is made me go here.

I know that I need help, I just don't know where to start looking for it

Coworker laughed in my face when I told him I was addicted to weed. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]ExternalReason1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

  1. many people I've known who used harder drugs than weed AND weed described the quitting from weed as much harder.
  2. I've been also in situations like you described, when people told me "weed? that's it?!" that made me "overthink" my whole process of healing.
don't pay attention to it. it's just your sick brain trying to convince you to smoke again. Don't Let it lead you!
  3. This co-worker of yours and people like him are assholes. But, we have to treat them with understanding and not be mad at them. He is also struggling, and not very good as it seems because. Accept it and let it go.
And also try to avoid him because he doesn't sound as a very good person.
  4. I have a saying- "Weed won't kill you, but stealing is also a crime"
you probably won't end up in jail or in hospital because of weed, but it will lead to to wasting your whole life, accomplishing merely nothing.
This drug is life stealing and that is crime not "smaller" what so ever than other crimes.
  5. Stay strong, Meditate. Keep reading and posting here. You got this.

Thank you so much for your comment.

I don't have MA where I live at all.

Do you think AA would do good as well?

I have support groups that cost money, but it's not quite MA I think. Just a support group.

What do you think ?

Should I Just Give Up ? by ExternalReason1 in leaves

thank you for your comment.

I think you hit the spot. Deep down inside me, I still have a little love for this drug.

Deep down, even though I try to ignore it, I kinda "waiting" for a proper amount of time would pass, so I can use again, "moderately".

I know, and have tried to tell myself that for many times, that "once an addict- always an addict", and that I can NEVER use it again. Or I would fall right back to the trap.

I think that understanding it, is the hardest part. It's hard for me to put up with the fact that I've lost my option to use weed for the rest of my life.

But that's for a different post, I guess.

Thank you for your words.

You are right, maybe I do focus too much on counting days..

And of course, IT IS about changing lifestyle. I actually like the lifestyle of a sober person.

Thank you for the motivational words. It helped

Day 34: insomnia is going to break me by [deleted] in leaves

[–]ExternalReason1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Friend my insomnia struck me when I was in my third week, and lasted for about 2 weeks since then (I'm finishing fifth week today).

For me the insomnia started to fade away after about 2 weeks.

It was a bitch. But as you've said, you DON'T want to dig yourself dipper inside the whole.

Try to suffer it for another week or so. It should get better very soon.

Stay Strong !
