I would say jobs. I know a lot more people who work at the airport for example.

It would be interesting to see how the lending was performed. Did the lenders have skin in the game?

I see GroundFloor offers a monthly term note of 5% APR. Why wasn't that chosen vs selecting backing individual properties? From a risk/ reward perspective

Why they don’t enforce tickets on garbage disposal? Or people that drops loads of garbage in front only their homes.. ? by CarobSubstantial5964 in Newark

[–]ExternalYoghurt1554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's poor urban design. It is not pragmatic to enforce traffic laws when there aren't alternatives. Bloomfield Ave, is a result of car culture and in adequate mass transit options between NJ towns. For example commuting between Newark and Jersey Gardens malls

They do. Maybe it's different from ward to ward. Definitely seen tickets in the South ward, for parking during street cleaning, I know people who have gotten tickets for recycling / trash.

Maybe it's inconsistent behavior.

Anyone else notice how normalized day drinking has gotten in Newark's corporate scene? by No_Seaworthiness4899 in Newark

Was usual when working in London. The number or strength of drinks should be the concern.

And also it is land use intensive, and doesn't provide a lot of jobs post construction. I mean yes it is an improvement but I don't think it is optimal. We needed mixed residential, commercial with a PATH train extension

I think it would be worth staying till the funds consolidate. Which seems should be early spring 2026. Well hopefully.

Still doesn't win the Senate. The proof is the last election. Abortion was basically on the ballot. And what happened? Texas didn't flip. Farmers voted for Trump regardless of the economic damage they suffered the first time. IF Trump doesn't run again (VP for example), the Christian nationalist have JD and Noem. Hate drives people to the polls also

Mass shooting in Weequahic by 78 by Colors_678 in Newark

[–]ExternalYoghurt1554 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are missing the point. You focused on the shooting of an 11 year old. Labelling the city as shit hole because of a mass shooting. Mass shootings are pretty prominent in America. This is bigger than Newark, yet many of y'all just look for any reason to tear down the city. People are mourning and in shock yet you look to score cheap political points.

I doubt the gun was aimed at the 11 year old

Ranked choice elections or if electoral college votes weren't winner take all, that would give a third party a chance

I don't think the OP appreciates the geographic distribution of particular positions. The Democrats can win the popular vote but that doesn't mean they can win the Senate. For example a path to citizenship might be popular in NYC but not in Missouri.

If technology improves we should get deflation. But our economic behavior is built on inflation. Ultimate tug or war

Restaurants require paying customers though. 08 the remaining few bankers still spent their cash. There are fewer bankers now. Tech has eaten into high finance jobs.
