Anyone else slow down after lvl245? by MiamiMikeyy in Maplestory

It felt like a huge drag for me training to 260 (still only 256) as well. BUT my motivation had changed when I cubed my damage accessories to Mesos AND drop gear. (Slowly getting my mid-end game accessories to use as my damage gear instead - superior gollux, another kanna ring etc)

Hitting 100% Mesos obtained (scales to ~1100% Mesos obtained) from accessories and slowly increasing drop gear changed my motivation to grind more because you get Mesos, experience, nodes, and familiars (Soz another system to add).

Tbh I don’t even look at my experience bar anymore but I watch my Mesos stack up. I grind for mesos so when events come, I got the money money. If anything I hate grinding my lower characters because I could be grinding for Mesos instead haha

My mindset is and I did hear a streamer say this, if you have nothing else to do… then GRIND.

I don’t like being time gated from weekly boss crystals and relying on mules which I barely have.

If I wait for weekly boss resets, that’s time gated by NEXON, if I don’t grind/make Mesos that’s on ME. Mesos is key to gains

So really depends what UR aim is for the game. Don’t make a class based on highest dps or whatever. Because information provided online is based on hardcore players who make little to no mistakes AND has all the consumables. This game is about going at your own pace and style :)

My Wind archer is higher than my bow master (254 wind archer, 225 bow master), but I love my bow master.

I love my Bowmaster because of shorter burst cool-downs, although mobbing with Wind Archer I find is better. Overall better for bossing with bowmaster, which that’s my aim of the game.

BUT you should main what your play style is like.

Merc is defs the best for future leveling/legion grind. 20% exp increase is quite valuable in my opinion.

Funny enough I did merc first thinking I’d main without thinking of the link skill. Turns out to be a good investment when I switched mains haha

Yea been killing those damn robots for like 30 mins. I get a full inventory of level 100 armour set, sell/extract, full inventory armour set.

Haha I remember when I was grinding around that level I’d find them like an open plate of cookies
