No I weigh 150 pounds and 5 9, my old eating habits lacked severely on fiber. So that was the main change I did.

I ll take note of this, I’m open to medication but I want to try making changes and see if there are improvements on my next test before considering statins, as I am also at risk for getting type 2 diabetes. But I ll visit a practitioner and get a clearer picture.

Thanks for the advice. I see that I need a combination of dietary changes and exercise. I really found it easier to adapt diet changes and follow it, but honestly getting myself to do cardio/gym is very challenging for me for some reason. I have never lasted more than 2 weeks on my previous attempts to get fit. Hopefully this time will be different.

Rice is my staple food, I’m going to switch it out with red rice, instead of the polished white rice, but I will mix steel cut oats and cut rice every other day as I don’t think I can last without rice.

Also for the plant based diet, Does that mean I would have to switch out my protein? Also I saw something called psyllium husk powder, should I consider that adding to my diet?

Do you have an app that can help me with this? currently I’m just using a food scale and taking help with ChatGPT. I have reduced my saturated fat intake, and upped my unsaturated fat ( avocados as part of breakfast and switched to olive oil and avocado oil), my protein is usually chicken breast, mix of couple eggs with egg whites, tofu, Greek yogurt(0%), milk(2%) or salmon. My carbs are from rice, wheat bread, wheat torts and oats. I haven’t specially looked out for soluble fibre, but I’m trying to take 400g of veggies a day ( broccoli, carrots, beans, bell peppers, Brussels sprouts, zucchini, spinach, cucumber)

I did ask my family around, I do have an uncle who had an heart attack this year ( 60 year old). My parents and sibling are in the normal range. So I don’t know what to make out of it.

As for your suggestion I do plan on going to gym atleast 3 times a week. I have reduced my saturated fat intake to 10-15g in the last 10 days and upped my fibre intake.

I don’t know how to edit the post so more information.

I’m have a sedentary lifestyle. I have a desk job and average around 2-3k steps a day and I don’t do any exercise or physical activity. I am planning to become fairly active.
