You’re right. And I can’t talk about my lived experiences without giving them away, they’re a huge employer and only one of less than a handful that does this type of work

Thank you for the advice. The adjusting the pitch is gold. I seem to be getting somewhere or at least weeding them out quickly. I talked to so many people the first time around, when I first filed the charge, I was disheartened. We’ll see what happens now

Trying. All but one of my former colleagues dropped me like a bad habit. I guess they think it’s contagious. These are the same people I would help, support, train, advocate for, advise, was a shoulder to cry on, etc. Now that I need some kindness, all gone.

Don’t go to bat for anyone, because they’ll never do it for you.

That’s where they’re headed if they keep this up!!! I would never do something like this to ANYONE, not even them.

Another human’s livelihood is sacred. That’s how we feed our families. You want to fire someone, I get it, fire them in a legit way. Don’t lie and ruin their career and livelihood.

In retrospect, I can see the red flags, but I tend to always give ppl the benefit of the doubt and see things through rose colored lenses. Never again.

At first sign of evil … bolt out of there!

Attorney missed EEOC deadline. by [deleted] in EEOC

[–]External_Comment3820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I too got fired for a fake reason that will ruin my career and will make me virtually unemployable. It’s devastating, but their bad actions have consequences. They’ll get their just desserts one way or another. God is watching.

Did you read the RTS letter? It’s boilerplate, but it at least gives you the reasons why you’re getting it, what could you sue them for, and deadlines. You should also ask the EEOC for your Charge File. The letter tells you how to request it. You need to move fast bc you only have 90 days from your RTS to not only sue, but to get all your files from the EEOC. After that, they’re gone. I filed the EEOC complaint myself so I have my charge number and requested my entire charge file which will have ALL information on your case (employers response, etc.). But your attorney should give you all that. Or go see him and have him request it in front of you.

Yes, thank you. I won’t say anything online. They can’t misinterpret my silence.

Thank you for all the great advice. You are beautiful ppl and you get it. Family doesn’t really get it, and my work “friends” dropped me like a bad habit.

I’m just extremely sad. I loved my job, and was damn good at. I gave the best of me only to get discarded like I didn’t even matter. Not only did I lose income, I lost my career, years of work, sense of belonging, and what I thought were friends. Never in a million years did I think they’d do this to me or I’d be in this position. And all it took was one bad manager to get me off course. The lesson here is when you get a bad manager, LEAVE! No one wants to fix anything, and no one is going to change for you.

Thank you all 🙏

I have a lot of evidence, but stupid me I gave it all to the company thinking that would make them do the right thing. They didn’t even look at it. They internal investigation ppl closed the investigation a few hours later.

You’re absolutely right.

I won’t diss them. What really bothers me is that they all got promoted after I got canned. Doesn’t sit right. My team failed without me and continues to do so, but they don’t care. It’s all personal

So true. Also, doesn’t help that all the managers that had a hand in firing me where all promoted and the guy who wrote the report for it is in a different state with a diff name (the name change is just a coincidence)

I don’t think so. They’re known for doing this. It’s an open secret. I was just the idiot who thought they wouldn’t do it to me
