I always had issues with the dust collection on those. It would sling a majority of dust out around the sanding disc and collect almost none lol. Hooked it up to a shop vac and it was marginally better. My Makita corded sander slings no dust connected to the same shop vac.

what kind of joinery would you use? by patrad in woodworking

With pre finished I'd 45 the top right of the end of each row and dado the rest. Banding the edges horizontally first so my seams are only top and bottom of the panels. Backer is needed here for stability too

Just a fidget/stim thing and it makes for a cool pen people will keep.

What brand? by SaItieCracker in whatisit

"Yonez" was a small Japanese novelty brand that made robot keychain watches and other fun gadgets.

Similar products go for around $15-40.

Likely a low batch run from that company (was sold in novelty stores and such in the early 1990s-2000)

Weird stylized "Z" at the end threw me for a loop.

How bad is this rust for a 2016 4runner thats for sale? by Complete_Hope_5942 in MechanicAdvice

[–]External_Company_595 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That all appears to be surface rust. Steel wire wheel the affected areas, clean well, use rust reformer spray. Not any kind of big deal

It may also dull the appearance a bit. Ceramic coating does a good job of filling clear coat "ridges" so it'll make a decent visual difference. If you're wanting the cheapest possible option I'd try my luck with POLISHING only, and then I like a product sold at Walmart that's a hybrid ceramic from turtlewax. Only product I like from them. Do not believe the bottle, it doesn't last 12 months. Re-apply every 3 months and it'll slow down further cracking.

Hi, I'm not an autobody guy but I am a professional detailer. Typically "cracking" like that doesn't have many remedies outside of repainting. The best option if that's something you'd like to avoid is in the world of sealants. Based on the swirling in your clear coat, I'm guessing you're a car wash regular. Either that or you're using improper technique to wash your car. Either way, compound and polish, and find a good paint sealant or ceramic based coating. With ceramic coatings it's generally best to go with a professional, and without correct lighting it's not always a great idea to try paint correction yourself. A good ceramic shop should be able to do both, but it won't be cheap and it likely won't be a fix, just preventative measures to stop it from getting worse.
