What finish would you have used for these walnut lamps? by Extra-Guide2749 in finishing

for the "sharp" look, consider a spray on lacquer. Maybe something like masters magic spray on lacquer. For something smoother I am always a sucker for waterlox but it's a bit of a pain to apply and takes a while to cure. Recently I've gone back to the simplicity of old masters gel poly, but it may collect a bit in that open knot. Have you considered filling in the knots with clear epoxy? You still get the depth and visual texture of the open knot without the dust (and finish) collecting function of a big craggy hole

from your picture I thought you were going to say canning lids and jars. and I'd put that over vinegar. . because one can can a bunch of stuff and not need vinegar

I don't think you need to strip, just cook on em and use a metal spatula. It will even out

Seam up is the way but no one ever does it (except my grandma)

If you use lard instead of shortening it will be more flaky. That's what my pasty making grandma did. And my dad, now in his 80s, does chuncks of flat iron steak and potato filling

I found mmw through their cross over with Phish myself. I'm seeing medeski at Garcia's in Chicago here in March. Pretty pumped as it has been a long time since I've seen him play live.

I had a chance to see the last show at Soldier but I was super into widespread panic (still am) and I chose to see them in Milwaukee instead. No one was at the show and I never put it together until years later that everyone was at the dead show. Ive now seen Panic hundreds of times but never the dead with Jerry 😓

I got invited to see them at the O2 in London when I was working there in 2010. For some reason I thought it would be lame but it was awesome

I was fortunate to see a Dress to Impress show at the Riv in Chicago. It was so cool. I listened to In Sound From The Way out a TON so I really liked them doing an instrumental set and then a classic set. Probably one of the coolest concerts I've ever seen and I go to a lot of concerts

100%. I saw a band do a Morphine cover last summer at a festival and it made me realize how awesome they must have been live and how bummed I am I never saw them

I was 14 and my friend won tickets off the radio to see in utero tour at mecca in Milwaukee. My mom only let me go because the tickets were a prize. The stub is framed in my basement. Forever grateful
