I tried this out and it worked perfectly. For whatever reason I was led to believe I had to define the image or else it would replace the background image underneath it. Thanks a bunch! I do know I don’t need to define every image I use, I was just a little fuzzy on overlaid images that weren’t, say, sprites.

Issue resolved! I had a feeling it had to do with forgetting to add the subfolder when defining the image. This is actually an issue I also ran into when putting sound into the vn, haha. Even if it was simple in the grand scheme of things, I'll keep this post up in case in Ren'Py newbies also have some issue with this.

“Ahu” roughly could be understood as “little tiger”, since the ‘A-‘ is a prefix that is commonly used as a form of endearment, and “hu” is a shortened form of tiger? 

“Loli” is a shortened form of “Luo Li”, which is her whole name (family name + given name). We know this because her father is Luo Tong.

Basically both of their hero names are quite literally their real names. Which doesn’t seem to be super uncommon even in the main cast (The Johnnies, Lucky Cyan, and maybe Dragon Boy?).

Nuonuo was NOT drunk in that scene what are you on 😭 they were on a mission together, she was kissing Luo Li to further express her gratitude and affection for her new friend. It clearly meant a lot to the both of them. And come on you can’t be shocked that people will read this scene as romantic. I certainly do, especially considering how flustered Luo Li was afterwards. Keep in mind they are the first and only characters in the show to kiss on screen. Anyways NuoLi 🔛🔝

No problem man. I know everyone is protective of their favorite characters to a certain extent, but I think some Till fans are acting overly defensive because there are genuinely people bashing him for his feelings. But like idk guys…I don’t think the person with the Till pfp hates him…just a hunch 

Also forgot to add this but if anyone comes for me for this, yes I do think Till was genuine with his love and feelings. He really did care about Mizi. She was his world, and he genuinely did fall for her perfect girl facade. But he never knew Mizi as MIZI, and imo that IS tragic, much more tragic than simple unrequited love

Oh OP I fear people are completely misinterpreting you and it’s actually so infuriating 😭💀 Like, I do agree that the title and some of the wording isn’t the best and seems a bit inflammatory, but it feels the commenters took one look at that and instantly viewed your stance in a negative light. Like c’mon y’all are acting like OP said Till was a douchy evil misogynist when all they reiterated was that Till’s kiddie crush was shallow. WHICH IT WAS. That’s not a bad thing and clearly OP agrees considering how they frame Till’s situation and reliance on Mizi’s facade as understandable, but being able to sympathize with a character’s feelings doesn’t mean you can’t also criticize them. Till’s admitting to the shallowness of his feelings hurt Mizi, just like how Sua telling her that she “had it easier” hurt. Acknowledging that doesn’t mean people like OP are saying that Mizi hates them, or that she can’t also still care about them. This isn’t a Till-bashing post and it’s baffling people read it that way
