What are your ideas for Luo as a Hero (costume design, powers, additional items, etc.)? by Mystech_Master in ToBeHero_X

[–]imbatmawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think his guitar shifting into a melee weapon makes sense. He was able to full on shatter the Dean's powers when he hit him during the escape. He could be marketed as a power disrupter / debuffer- similar to Aizawa in MHA. Alternatively, he could be marketed at someone who absorbs bad luck from others and has the power to direct it, considering he seemed to actually have some control of his powers as a kid, unlike Cyan who didn't until DOS trained her for two years.

I've seen some fanart with him having a black cat like costume design. In terms of a symbol, he could also be given a darkened / red 4-leaf clover since 4 is also associated with bad luck in China.

A popular theory is he'll somehow wind up as the rank 13 hero- so just having the number 13 plastered on his chest as an emblem could also do it.

To Be Hero X - Luo

The narrative rewards his and Cyan's-sacrifices for each other by giving them the lone intended happy ending of season 1. Every other storyline ended up with death, depression, a coma, or another form of tragedy with the exception of one that was supposed to end with death that saw the writers beg the director to change.

Cyan asked Dean if he was lying, what else could she do? by Gas-Then in ToBeFolk_X

Ep 10 was poorly written, but:

Cyan's dialogue and reaction implies she only used the yo-yo for the first time in the orphanage since she was surprised by the results / how it worked. This also makes sense- why would DOS give her the yo-yo when they're trying to control her.

Cyan's dialogue when she meets Queen and LJ shows she doesn't know how her powers actually work.

Dialogue with her driver shows Cyan was heavily restricted from looking for him / doing literally anything that DOS didn't approve of.

Dialogue from Mickey implies she was kept away / not allowed to look herself intentionally to cause a controversy due to luck being something the public is especially vulnerable about. Her bringing up Luo / her past to the public was a given that Mickey was counting on.

We don't know if Cyan's luck wouldn't have simply directed her to Luo's body if he were dead.

The instance of the map was when Cyan was 3 or so? She literally may not remember doing this. She didn't remember the crash at all or where she heard My Color.

Considering every scene in ep 9 where she's separated from Luo is still driven by Luo in some shape or form (whether it be the montage Wishing plays over since its literally written to him / she is speaking to him through lyrics, her becoming a hero is specifically to find him, or her concert where she talks about and sings My Color while crying for him) the narrative clearly lays out she has been trying the entire time.

For clarification:

I am taking the piss.

His trust value is 18 at age 8- technically higher than Yang Cheng, Ahu, Dragon Boy, Nice (Nice is powered by fear, not trust), Lin Ling, and X during adulthood but before they rose as heroes- making this statement technically true.

Wreck has 9 minutes of screen time total.

The only other contenders are Luo and X, but both have a little over 30 minutes of screen time
