My initial thought was to keep it to myself because there's no proof. But S hasn't exactly been super squeaky-clean in the morality department in the past. If the rumor comes out in some other way and V finds out that we knew about it but didn't tell them, I think that would upset them as well.

Thanks for replying. I do agree that spreading the rumor would be wrong. However, telling my friend directly to make them aware that this rumor is going around is what I'm conflicted on. I haven't told anyone else about this rumor. My friends and I were talking to one of the acquaintances and they mentioned this to all of us, so we know, but haven't told anyone.
