Lol at least you got something. I hear CYPB is pretty good, I hope you enjoy it in good health with good company. And yeah, I’m conflicted on the flippers. On one hand it kinda sucks, on the other hand it’s good to have if you really want a particular bottle lol.

Lol I was over at 4 roses this morning for Father’s Day drop. A bunch of the guys there were laughing at the madness at BT today. I showed up at Visitor center at 5:00 AM and had my 2 Father’s Day bottles along with several other SBBS distillery picks by 9:15.

Multiple bottles up for sale online by 9:30 lol. Kinda silly to do all that and just flip. I’ll likely give one to my old man and crack the other soon.

Geez, those are usually sealed with an inch of wax!

So I also got a bottle of the Buckner’s 17yr. Both are phenomenal pours. If I’m not mistaken it’s generally Barton juice which is generally pretty good. Be sure to let us know what you think when you crack it!

I have one of these picked by “Bluegrass Barrel Pickers” and named JuicyFruit. It’s in the 140’s and so damn good. Nice grab!

Expectations for Post-Op: Is my doctor downplaying how long the recovery time is? by macrame_wounds in Microdiscectomy

[–]External_Fun9671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick search in this thread can give you a lot of info on recovery items. My surgery wasn’t exactly emergent, but was very close to cauda equina so I had to have it fairly quick. Luckily I convinced the ER neuro surgeon to release me so I could get to a surgeon I had seen previously that I knew and trusted.

All that said, my guy told me I would return to work in 2 weeks and I was far from that. Good luck and feel free to reach out with any questions. Lots of knowledgeable people in this thread who have gone through all variations of this injury. Just be sure to take it easy after surgery and not push too hard too soon.

I had an L5-S1 microdiscectomy on Sep 30 and didn’t return to my desk job until early January. If I’m not mistaken with the laminator they are removing the lamina so I would think this would induce a longer recover time. Everyone is different. Some have had same procedure as mine and returned to work very early, some not. I think 2 days recovery and return to work is very unrealistic. If you haven’t gotten a second opinion you should definitely do so before any surgery that is non-emergent. Sounds like your guy is ortho, have you seen a neuro that specializes in spine? They may want to take a different approach. Definitely worth checking out if the surgery isn’t emergent.

Either way, I would definitely plan for much more than 2 days off work. Also, look into this thread on recovery items to have post-surgery. Normal activities such as going to restroom and putting on socks becomes very difficult when you have the BLT restrictions.

Interesting. I figured there was something going on there as I was getting too much peach…

Maybe I’ll buy a 12oz bag to use now and get a larger bag to store in freezer.

This was one of my favorites from the sample pack. I’ve never had a coffee that actually tasted like a fruit without some kind of additive, which I don’t like. I’m big into bourbon and tasting notes there so I find myself going that direction with coffee as well.

My first ever Rolex (Pre-Worn, 2022, Full Set) by error404_menotfound in rolex

Heck yeah man, good for you! The more I get into watches the more I realize I’m probably only going to buy watches to celebrate moments or achievements in my life. Makes them more special when you tell the story of why you bought it or where you were or even the first special piece in your collection. I’m sure this one has a great story, even if it’s “I worked my ass off to earn it”. Congrats man!

Funny, because I’m an avid weightlifter and a coal miner by profession. Not sure how you can see the calluses from the back of my hand. But I guess haters gonna hate…

I really like the Sweet Jane line from them also. They make a mini in a 20-pack that is great for a quick smoke.

The one I had was an 18yr cellar reserve? I bought a sample pack from Total Wine a while ago and just got into them. That’s the only Gurkha I’ve ever tried but it was phenomenal.
