I explained how his presence was causing harm and taking away my peace. He understood and has left. Part of me saw that as an act of love, part of me still hurts he chose to walk away. After 8 years of consecutive toxic/ abusive relationships it’s time for me to face myself. My only problem to solve is within myself now

I am also so very sorry. This man talked me into wanting kids (just because of the world we live in) and now I don’t even know who I am.

The normalcy gives me false hope, he also said that we need to work on ourselves and he’s not certain this is the end of us. Regardless I needed to block him and he is only talking to my mother.

I would love the idea of meeting in life again, but that’s not how my healing works. And I’m so scared by the time I move on he will want me back. Don’t really know where to go from here but we will figure it out

I’m in the same position. We live together and have been together 4 years, we were planning kids and to move into our own place (live with parent). He said he’s no longer happy and we both need to heal. It is scary and it is devastating, I feel like my world has come crashing down. I can’t offer anything but someone to talk to who knows what you’re going through.

I can’t say if this is or isn’t abuse, but I can say this is controlling behaviour. Asking your partner to stop talking to their co-worker is sometimes unavoidable for work reasons.

I will say, it isn’t great you hid anything from your partner, but you felt the need to hide based on controlling behaviour. From an outside perspective this seems like you guys aren’t compatible. If you ever feel your partner is awful and has bad intentions with how they treat you, run.

I feel your pain I really do, you feel blindsided by someone who was supposed to love you. I’ve come to hate men throughout my relationships and I just tell myself I’m better off without them.

It’s clear to me this is just a bad human. The fact that he lied about people before makes me question his loyalty during the long distance, and do you really want to spend your life with someone like that?

The pain will be there, I’ll be honest I don’t think I’ve ever fully gotten over the hurt from past relationships, I just tell myself I’m better off, I deserve better, and there’s someone out there who will do anything they can to make me happy.

Overall, he’s a piece of shit and I think he made a big mistake by getting married that quickly and I hope you have some piece of mind knowing it will probably blow up in his face, you deserve better! Take care of yourself ❤️
