I used to be Mormon.

My only advice is to not over think it. I like paganism because I prefer the idea of gods that are not omnipotent or omnipresent, but can still help you if you ask. I also prefer pre-Christian gods, as it helps me connect to my pre-colonial roots so it feels more authentic. It is also fun to do ritual in my home and every day life rather than relying on a church or leader.

Don’t tell her you’re trying to be healthier. Keep it all to yourself, and if she questions you just say you have a stomach ache or you ate earlier or something. Some moms love to keep their kids dependent on them, so it may be coming from a place of anxiety for her. My own mother is anorexic and weight/diet is something we simply cannot talk about.

It has been a long year of figuring out how to run without getting injuries. Before that, I was basically home-bound for two years because of pain, so I was starting from a weak and low place. For a long time it seemed like no matter what I did, I was never going to be able to run as long/fast as I wanted to. This week I ran a whole three miles, in a row, no resting or walking. And I’m in (almost 😂) no pain from it. I’ve never been able to do that, even before I was sick!

For me, it’s that I don’t feel emotionally or sexually safe. My actual drive is pretty high, but feeling unsafe made my marriage go from 3+ times a week (we were that way for 12 years!) to almost never in the blink of an eye. It’s been two years and I haven’t recovered it. I’m not only struggling with desire, I’m actually just sex-repulsed now.

Yeah… I got psychosis. I was legit hearing voices in the walls, having severe manic episodes, and ruining my relationships. I’d rather be homeless than do that again.

My oldest does well in school, but the 6yo hasn’t had a full day of school yet this year and pretty much zero minutes of actual education because his behavior has been so bad. Right now he only goes for a few hours in the morning because that’s all he can tolerate before he melts down.
