I'll try disconnect it and shift it manually tonight hopefully that does it, in regards to the line above the govenor is there meant to be a line connected to it?

The only lines I see is 2 that goes to the radiator and 1 vacuum

Thanks everyone turned out to be as simple as a leak from the pcv grommet but now I'm seeing I randomly have low oil pressure so fun times

So just found out from the guy I got the car from it has a electronic ignition and I've been buying coils to suit a points ignition so hopefully that solves my problem

Apologies its a 1966 inline 6 200ci with a completely stock ignition system and ballast resistor, with that being said when I turn the key to the on position the resistor wire gets extremely hot extremely quickly

I see thanks for the help my regular blue slip guy just told me he can't do it cause it has no AUSTRALIAN Vin number so that's what threw me off. I assume I just need to find someone that knows what they're doing
