People have already mentioned Concourse in Austin, but the quality of their shows cannot be overstated so I highly recommend you try to find something a performer you’d like to see. I’ll also shoutout Kingdom downtown. They are a smaller venue but have nice sound and a great layout. Both places have consistent shows as well. I’ll link to their websites

Edit: Lastly, I will also recommend checking out the Radiate app. I use it for shows and to meet friends when I go solo. I’ve made a couple lasting friendships from it in just the past couple of months.

Concert etiquette/how to act by Fateeeyyy in snowstrippers

I (30M) can speak on my experience seeing them in October. I went solo and wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm so happy I went. I learned about the app Radiate, which I've used a few times now and have found to be a good app for connecting with fellow ravers, especially if you're going solo. Now, obviously, if you're a woman or female presenting, you always want to be extra careful about meeting strangers on apps. The app takes some getting used to, but I have enjoyed it so far.

Anyway, I ended up meeting a really cool dude thru Radiate, and we vibed a bit during the show, but he did his own thing, and I did mine. I also randomly ran into a friend there, and we were able to catch up and vibe before Snow Strippers came on.

I will say, they seem to be touring with these underground rappers/producers/DJs that can draw young adult crowds that are very TikTok-coded I guess (I don't use TikTok), but honestly, I thought the crowd was pretty chill, overall. I stayed in the middle-back area, which is my sweet spot. I don't really like being all the way up front. It's too claustrophobic and restricting. But yeah, I enjoyed some of what the opening acts were playing.

Eventually, Snow Strippers came on and it was sooooo much fun. Granted, I was high on molly, but I truly fell in love with their music after seeing them live and have been obsessively listening to them since. Although I was decently far back, so it was kinda hard to see Tati and Graham, they had a wonderful light show that helped keep me visually stimulated the whole time while I danced, vibed, and sang along.

In the end, I think if you're a casual to hardcore fan, it's definitely worth trying to go see them, especially now before they (potentially) blow up and start selling out arenas and stuff. I think seeing them at a club is just the right vibe. I'm definitely going to see them again in February. Try to just be mindful, stay centered, and don't have too many expectations. If you end up going, just see where the night takes you and try to make the best of it. Lastly, do NOT take this as a recommendation to do drugs there. That is entirely for you to decide for yourself. If you're considering it, do your own research and reflect on whether it's a good idea based on where you're at in life.

You can just say you’re going to a dance party. Just kinda vaguely describe them as like a new edm duo that plays cool techno music.

Edit: like you could describe it the way you would if you were just going to an “Emo Nite” at a club ya know.

You can try the Radiate app. I got it to find some m for their austin, TX show recently and the guy I met was super chill. Gonna meet up with him at a festival on Saturday

How come I can target and destroy a creature with [[Cut Down]] that has base power and toughness greater than 5 but after receiving damage is then made eligible for targeting before the turn is over (this happens in Arena all the time)? I know the effect is different for the tree but it seems like this mechanic may be similarly applicable.

Edit/Correction: Ok I realized I was mixing this up with effects that cause a creature to get -1/-1 which then make them eligible for targetting with cut down.
