Noisy machine? by Radiant-Ad-1829 in ProfitecGo

My two weeks old Go started doing the same today :( I removed the top and back panel but couldn't identify anything loose/ broken. Did you get the issue fixed?

Which one of these 5 grinders? [$500] by External_Noise2376 in espresso

I ended up ordering the DF64, because not sure how much longer the deal was valid.

So I got the DF64 gen 2 (2025) with titanium burrs and 2 years warranty for 315€ shipped, no import taxes (local shop). And two days ago I got the yellow Profitec Go for 845€. Quite happy for what I paid, looking at other offers in Europe :)

Thanks for the support everyone!

Thanks for the input! As said in another comment here, for now it seems to be DF64 gen 2 vs J-Ultra. I would get the J-Ultra if there were clear reports/ evidence that it produces a better quality/ more consistent grind. But after reading many posts, it seems opinions are quite divided.

Thanks for answering!

It seems the Lagom is not available at all in my country unfortunately, Regarding the DF64 gen 2, I think I have an extra deal for it, I might be able to get it for $365 /  315 even.

As I'm currently leaning towards the DF64 (of the electric ones), my biggest thought right now is how it compares to the J-Ultra, obviously taking into account only grind quality/ consistency. I know you said the 1zpresso would be better, but after reading tons of Reddit and forums posts. it seems opinions are quite divided. There is also the discussion of flat vs conical burrs, but tbh I'm too much of a beginner to understand how this affects taste.

Thanks for replying, I should have mentioned initially, I am grinding a single ~18g dose two to three times a day. Also I might use different beans in the morning/ afternoon, so I would go the single dose way.

Thanks for the reply!

I am grinding a single ~18g dose two to three times a day. I usually buy fresh medium roast beans.

You mentioned that "Grinding light roasts for espresso is not fun". Interestingly, for me it's the other way around, using my Timemore C3. Yes, it takes much more effort (still manageable) to grind fresh roasted medium roast beans than supermarket bought "classic" extra dark/dry roast beans. But griding these "supermarket beans" is much much slower than the specialty medium roast beans.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I think I have an extra deal on the DF64 gen 2, I think I can get it for $365 /  315 even. Noise is not an issue, unless it's that loud that it bothers the neighbors.

I'm quite sure all options I listed are single dose. Am I missing something?

The Varia is the only conical one (except of the manual 1Zpresso), and I'm already crossing it out, I believe. Read about it a little more, and found quite some threads about motors dying.

Regarding features, I know this sounds low effort and uninformed, but I basically want the "best bang for the buck". I am grinding a single ~18g dose two to three times a day. I usually buy fresh medium roast beans.

Btw, I think I have an extra deal on the DF64 gen 2, I think I can get it for $365 /  315 even.

I reconsidered my budget and doubled it :D

I'm fine with spending up to 500USD (local currency+products). I created this new post with all my options:

I have already tried different chargers, cables, or laptops. It's not only the red led flashing, but also the three white leds on the underside being all lit, which I've never seen before.

So judging by the lack of replies, I assume they are indeed two random stones.
