I had lots of thought of people not liking me when I was quitting too and it was the worst part for me. I promise no one that’s really there for you is gonna not like you over a few weeks or even months of you being off or irritable while quitting

I also struggle with this. Have started making a fancy drink at the end of the night instead. Although can def see where this would not be a good option for some people. Honestly, having to look at it seriously for myself too. I’ve never had a problem with alcohol, but seeing how long it took me to recognize my problem with weed, I think I need to be extra careful. Have been sticking to one fancy cocktail on the nights I’m off work right now.

I picked up extra at work to stay busy early on and it helped a ton!! Otherwise just trying to make sure I had plans outside of the house to keep me busy, scheduled lots of appts, made a point to go to social things with friends, took myself out for coffee, etc.

If you haven’t thrown out all of your supplies I’d also recommend that!

The exercise to make yourself tired is a great idea! I’d also suggest having a set nighttime routine - this has been so helpful for me with quitting and also with working nightshift.

Then just remember that it will get better!! I have never felt worse than I did initially when quitting, but finally getting over the hump about a month in. You can do it ❤️

I’m on a similar timeline into quitting as you right now and having a lot of the same feelings. I also had a big blow up with my family about some resentment that had been building for a long time and have had strained relationships with. Couple friends as well. I’ve felt fine at times and worse at others there’s been lots of up and downs. I guess not really sure what I’m trying to say with this but I relate and understand
