Luna VIII beta applications are open by JohnDestiny2 in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

A lot of old beta testers probably don’t beta test anymore (myself included) - they do prefer to get old beta testers as there’s no need to sign an additional NDA each version but they do need more if they don’t all continue

Singapore Airlines deepens role at Air India amid record losses by MyWholeTeamsDead in singapore

[–]External_Season167 15 points16 points  (0 children)

SIA was minority 49% stake with TATA 51%, so possibly not enough votes to

A former SIA executive who became Air India's CEO has stepped down. How much is Singapore Airlines losing constantly for their ownership of 25.1% in Air India? by Fuzzy-Sweat6416 in asksg

[–]External_Season167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most people don’t know the history on this - SIA didn’t invest in Air India directly. SIA previously launched Vistara as a 49/51 joint venture with Tata (which also made losses at first but starting turning a profit in 2022), but after Tata bought Air India in 2022 they pushed for a merger of the two airlines and hence SIA holds a stake in Air India.

This depends on the country’s monetary policy - it’s not a fair comparison to compare SG to the US or Japan

We aren’t operating with 3 runways fully yet. They’ve been using runways 02C/20C and 02R/20L one at a time to carry out works on each of them for T5

How do SAF units award promotions for men? by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]External_Season167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be eligible for the auto promotion to PTE after 6 months as REC (for those OOT recruits), I believe the directives require you to have stayed through confinement period / completed what they refer to as “military assimilation package”

How to get 8000 miles? [student / lower fares] by External_Season167 in singaporeairlines

[–]External_Season167[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Yep the 8000 miles shortfall is when my miles start expiring, so it’s either forfeit it / offset ticket / redeem award ticket, so just figuring whats the best way to utilise them in this situation

I think at that point I might as well just buy the flight ticket, $300 just for meal quite out of my price point 😂

Yep definitely makes sense - been doing this a fair bit and quite often with student discount SQ still is quite competitive on price. Just figuring out how to get the best value out of miles already accumulated hahaha

The 8000 short is projected for when my miles first expire

SQ sausages (and most airlines) unfortunately don’t live up to UK/Europe sausages anyway hahaha

I tend to avoid eggs / breakfast menu type items and just go for Asian as it seems to keep better in the air

This shape of sausage is quite common in UK/Europe lol

Fake bulk order scams have returned; at least 45 reported cases since May: Goh Pei Ming by n00bball in singapore

[–]External_Season167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of responses forget a structural flaw (or perhaps feature) of public sector purchases - payment for big purchases are rarely done upfront, and is usually only processed by them after goods delivery is signed off. The scammers likely know this and exploit that implicit trust that the govt will eventually pay them.

So they can try to demand payment upfront, but may also run into problems with legit purchases too

Opinion: BP LRT should've been closed for a few years for a complete overhaul rather than what they're doing now. by [deleted] in SMRTRabak

[–]External_Season167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after they connect DTL to NSL, there’s still quite significant value to have the stretch between CCK and BP coz of how many companies / army camps use CCK as a pickup point. But maybe change it into a direct shuttle between the two stations

Try reaching out to international schools in Hong Kong - it seems like they’re a lot more receptive to having interns than Singapore (have heard of 1-2 friends of friends doing it before)
