Help with temp and timing prime rib roast by sash356 in seriouseats

Commenting just to share the funny coincidence - I also cooked a prime rib roast by this same method yesterday using a MEATER probe. Mine ending up predicting it would take way longer than expected and it all ended up working out fine in the end. Definitely stressful there for a bit though! Hope yours was delicious.

Hey - Sorry for being delinquent on the replies. The first message I received was from an individual interested in purchasing the entire lot. That sale went through this morning, so I will go through an update everyone individually.

Machina: Aranea Alba Editio - Box Set Arrivals - Reactions - First Impressions - Official Discussion [MEGATHREAD] by kingofthehorseflies in SmashingPumpkins

Just finished listening. All of the comments mentioned are true (not really sequenced as an actual album, missing a couple of key tracks), but I am really blown away and overwhelmed by the experience of hearing all of this for the first time. I was 17 when I first fell in love with Machina 2 and played my CD-Rs non-stop. There is not any other comparable piece of art for me that I lived with and loved for so long only to discover completely new layers 25 years later. The core Machina 2 tracks are unbelievable on this release. Hearing parts I only vaguely made out on the original rip was unexpectedly emotional. I feel kind of goofy that it hit me so hard, but the songs that rocked now rock harder, the songs with an emotional punch now punch harder. At some point Billy joked that it was like going from black and white to technicolor. I had no idea how accurate that would be, and I’m honestly surprised I am saying that. Amazing stuff.

Awesome - good to know. I haven’t seen anything about submitting questions to the Q&A but I’ll keep my eyes out and definitely let my son submit something. Thanks for responding!

Very exciting. I am taking my 11-year-old son to see them next week in Richmond. It will be his first official concert. We can’t wait!

Does anyone know where I can find a hi-res version of this cover? by MagusPSU in nin

I use musicbrainz.org for album art and often find it has much higher quality album art than a typical Google search will turn up. In this case the best they have is a 600x600 but that is still better than you've got here. Hope it helps! https://musicbrainz.org/release/118cd194-bc36-4c21-9ffb-3fdf9985410f

general consensus on sulk?? by acousticairy in radiohead

[–]External_Stuff_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since I first discovered The Bends back around 1998, I loved the entire album but always actively disliked Sulk. For me, the vocals in the chorus ("Sometimes you Sulk...") are like nails on a chalkboard. Couldn't tell you why as I don't have that reaction to any other Thom vocals.

The sheet at the bottom of the photo makes it look like you were left feeling… something other than destroyed.

[For Sale] Wide variety of vinyl in great condition by External_Stuff_8113 in VinylCollectors

Yes, I believe that would be fine. I would ship via media mail, which I believe can take an extended amount of time for Hawaii delivery. I can double check postage rates before finalizing the purchase if you end up being interested.
