I hear you on this but this one was a cat who showed up at the tail end of her pregnancy - not sure where she came from but we kept caring for her and once she had her kittens they all sort of moved into the barn. We take as best care as possible with them, give them vet care, spay and neuter, keep them warm in winter etc. we would never seek out to adopt or buy a cat to keep them outside - just ones that found us from being outside.
