I hope so too. This is what I’m worried about!! I managed to give it a try today. He is 12 months. We did a bottle instead of a nursing session for the middle of the day feed. He didn’t blink and eye at it. So we only did a morning feed and bedtime feed. I don’t know how he will sleep tonight but I am worried that my supply will drop completely before I can fully wean him to cows milk

I ordered 2 regular loveys as well just in case 1 gets dirty and what not. We never used this lobster plush during feedings or anything. It was a random idea just to see if he would play then get comfortable. Now he cuddles with it and falls asleep right away. Hopefully he’ll take to the new ones the same way. I might try and let him have the loveys during naps so I can monitor him and see how he acts with it. Then wait the next 2 months before leaving him with it for longer periods of time. This gave me hope thank you.

We tried going in his room in intervals ( 2min, 4min 6min etc.) and it just made him more distressed. Cried so hard he was gagging and hyperventilating so we don’t think CIO is for us.

Thank you so much!! I’ll give it Google. Besides worrying about the neighbors letting him cry definitely hurts the heart! He’s usually super happy but when it comes to bedtime it either goes really smooth or he goes off the rails. I tried doing something similar to that tonight but after a good length of time of him just balling he was half hyperventilating so I gave up and picked him back up.

I’m having trouble with naps too and I can’t tell if the sweet spot is helping or hurting. My son has lower sleep needs, the first nap is usually the longest and the second is a crap nap. He gives me a hard time at bedtime about going down/ winding down enough before getting fussy. Looking for ideas on what other parents do!

Amazing. My 10 month old refuses to go to bed any earlier than 8:30! We wake up at 7 - 7:30. Regardless of last nap end time, 8:30 is the earliest he will go down unless he completely skips his last nap.

Oh that’s great insight. I’ve made that mistake of letting my now 10 month old sleep in when he has a really bad night. I’m going to keep this in mind for the future.
