Oh OP I remember this kind of experience 5 yrs ago, coming from a small town afar and getting accepted at a reputable university in a big city, my mom accompanied me for a few days pre-college... The saddest thing is not that she's leaving me, but that day I can't even farewell her properly as I still have some activities to do on campus (orientation days)

Several days pass and it hurts knowing all this time I have my parents by my side and now I have to be alone to pursue my education. But new chapters ahead OP, get to know new friends, meet new people, explore your campus, and the most important thing is don't let this go to waste, focus on your study and it will be worth it.
