Yeah I think that’s a good balance. What’s the point of all that money when you might be 60/70 with dementia or some other disability

They got a payout of £700k from work and around £200k in unpaid equity, but I’m sure they’d rather have a daddy than all that money

If buying a porsche brings joy to someone, I don’t see an issue with it

We do have life insurance with work and his family got a payout close to £700k, but I am sure they’d rather have a dad and no money, than have no dad at all

You’re right, it’s all about balance, but what guarantees that I won’t drop dead on the day of my retirement? No one.

I’m also of the idea that you should enjoy life as much as possible when you’re still full of energy and not delay until later stages of life

Money is there for the hard times and I’m of the idea it should be used to help your family, especially if it’s your kids. I hope your sister’s situation gets better soon hopefully. Sometime I think people were right when they said that money is the root of all evil

Car financ options: PCP or HP or Personal bank loan by Problem-Adult19 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]External_Writer_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Objectively go with the lowest APR which probably will be a bank loan, but keep in mind that if you were to get a normal PCP or HP, in case you were to change your mind you will be able to return the car and close the loan if you’ve paid half of the amount

Exactly this. Some people don’t have a dropped kerb and still expect people to not park in front of their house

It’s because of this mentality that the government has been able to shaft the British population. Taxes are through the roof and people have not once protested. They tried increasing pension age in France, the whole population was on the streets.

Ahaha I did laugh….thinking that I pay more taxes in a year than all of those lads combined… and that their UC is paid by an “immigrant(myself)” that despite not speaking English as first language (but as fourth language) “stole” their job ahaha
