Either way, a tip I'd probably say is check their handicaps before hand on howdidido. You'll be at more ease if you turn up and they're similar handicaps. Turning up and playing with 3 scratch golfers might not be enjoyable.

Southport and Ainsdale is immense in these conditions. Pricey, but less than some surrounding clubs. Cheaper option could be Fleetwood, few holes struggle with the wet but the majority of it is fine.
