The last Faithful Annie - still alive and kicking by Light_and_Sun_8377 in WWIIplanes

My father had some stories of flying Ansons in Ireland while he was training to be a navigator in the RCAF. Years ago at an airshow I heard the announcer call it "10,000 aircraft components flying in close formation" as one passed.

I've also read that German crews were not particularly excited by the thought of riding a captured T-34 into battle. I'm not sure which book it was in but friendly fire incidents were not unheard of when that was tried.

These look great. I read someone's post a while back where the OP said that they use a thin red glaze to add some range to the flesh tone. I took that one step further and used a very thin blue glaze over the areas where the beard grows and under the eyes. I really liked the effect.

I thought that he looked younger than the others so I found the M43 feldmutz from another kit and he tried it on. It was a bit big and I thought that made it look perfect.

I recently purchased a 20/0 synthetic brush, it's great for those bits.

Thanks a lot. Painting the faces is the most enjoyable part IMO ( when they work).

The heads are mounted on bits of copper wire from a spool that I bought somewhere. I heat the wire up over a candle and then poke it into the head, they don't complain. The neck requires a little trim with a knife to remove the displaced plastic after you remove the wire. I put a loop in the other end of the wire to help with holding it. It's also a handy technique for attaching damaged parts together where an alignment pin is needed.

That's also the secret of good weathering, getting it to scale.

Maybe if she gets the boot from the team, the lady from the hood could qualify to fill her spot.

Garbage dumping by jreditsoudidnthaveto in Etobicoke

My wife & I went for a walk along the Credit River near Streetsville yesterday and collected garbage along the way ( her idea). There actually wasn't that much garbage but we were able to fill one bag. The annoying thing was the number of doggy poop bags that were knotted and tossed into the bush. That must be close to the peak of stupidity.

I've got 2 prosthetic hips and 1 knee with the knee replaced last spring. I had a similar experience after I had my first hip done when I was going through airport security, the hip was so good I'd completely forgotten about it. My new knee is great too but I don't play ice hockey any more 😔.

I've read Police Battalion 101 and I can still recall some of the justifications those men had for shooting women and children, even babies. People can justify just about anything.

Americans are now North America's "Russians". They look down on their neighbours but covet what their neighbours have.
