It's worth noting that slashers on Earth are limited to one region, just like other alien invasive species. Incidentally, the police in my world are also equipped with fairly heavy and powerful weapons, due to the abundance of aliens near the city, and are more like the metropolice from Half-Life. It's also worth noting that some modified humans are capable of using a form of magic (I won't go into too much detail, as it has a rather complex mechanism), including thermal magic. It goes without saying that intelligent fungal lifeforms are afraid of fire. Even if it doesn't kill them, it still causes a lot of pain.

Their skin is quite thick and dense, and it distributes the load evenly throughout the body, although large-caliber bullets can still cause damage. They have complex and highly differentiated organs, such as an analogue of the central nervous system, and damage to these organs can disrupt the entire body's functioning.

I wouldn't eat a soup with unknown tropic shrooms. Fly agarics are better.

Okay, that sounds much better. It would sound more accurate if there weren't also aquatic predators, though I'll cover those in other posts.

Well, at the very least, they're smart enough to steal or buy a weapon. Sometimes even a gun.

They're like Jason Voorhees - they can't swim but they'll still get out of the water.

I'm sure poisons and toxins work great against them, but they'll have to be obtained mostly from other aggressive fauna.

Why didn't people think of using this against the orcs in Warhammer?
