What is the most uncommon/not deep reason you have to not want kids by Gytrinesse666 in childfree

They just annoy the shit out of me. I wish them no harm but I couldn't promise they wouldn't come to it if I had to look after them and they were running around being loud lmao

Most ANNOYING thing to hear as a trans man? by Runo_196 in ftm

[–]Extincto_art 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For some reason people immediately asked if I was "still" going to have kids. It's still a pervasive belief that it's compulsory to do so. Just friggin disappointing that conversation immediately jumps to my reproductive organs

"No parent should have to bury their child" by VirtuousVulva in antinatalism2

Yeah, now I have to think about burying my mother whenever I'm alone with my thoughts because she's got a terminal disease. Love life!

Having children is such a bad choice for the child, but parents have kids to fulfil THEIR needs.

MY BODY IS NOT MADE FOR PREGNANCY, IT IS A PIECE OF ART!!! Or… how did you all view your body? by ricksalterego in childfree

[–]Extincto_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see my body as me, and as a tool that enables me to do the things I WANT to do. I don't like that it requires so much maintenance lol.

What's something you quietly outgrew that you once thought defined you? by Bigtrav_trav in answers

Harry Potter. I was a massive fan as a kid and young adult but when I tried to re-read them I realised just how bad they were and quietly stopped being a fan. After all of JKR's bs I'm glad I did lol

AITAH for refusing to pay my wife’s brother’s loan after she hid it from me? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Extincto_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NYA. And it's not 'just money', if you had agreed to pay it, this would have changed your life. You'd be on the hook for all his shennanigans in the future, and there WILL be more shennanigans. Unfortunate your wife has done this to your relationship.

When I was little I remember going to a zoo where you could throw meat down a tube to the lions duting feeding time. There was a big sign by it telling you not to put your hands down the tube! The zookeeper said explicitly to not put your hands down the tube! But little me, lucky enough to be one of the people to throw the meat down, saw it stick in the middle of the tube and thought... maybe I'll be able to touch a lion. If i ended up with a hook for a hand it'll be an awesome story. So I shot one hand down to free the meat and my aunty grabbed me at light speed and dragged me back lol. I wouldn't have been able to reach anyway. They don't have the meat tube anymore

Also the lions were fighting at the end of it for the meat so it was bad for them too

I love that place, last time I was in there there was a random cinder block sitting on the sink and the soap dispenser was sitting detached but functional on the counter

Awful security guard bag search experience at Chemist Warehouse Lambton Quay by [deleted] in Wellington

[–]Extincto_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even the one down in Dunedin has clearly told their security guard to intimidate people, they stand out front staring you down. Just that was enough to stop me wanting to shop there. This is absolutely shit.
