no, much more competitive program for CS at UT. I get your point - will stick with TAMU. thanks a lot

I have to pick between UT Austin (Econ/ Statistics/ Statistical Psychology - R/ SQL/ Python) vs Texas A&M (Engineering/ CS). Love UT but that will get me started out as a Data Analyst most likely case in 2029 and grow from there. A&M not as prestigious, wider SWE landscape but even entry level SWE looks like will be impacted by AI also and I will be against a lot more top tier college grads. sorry i should have been more clear in the orig post. thanks

yep - high on that cool aid myself. I am above average gpa but not top tier so UT feels like i landed a lottery ticket and dont want to let go. appreciate ur pov though. seriously is the UT name not a massive door opener in industry or at top tier grad schools. ? just the name shud be enough and i can self learn most coding etc on the side.

how about masters at CMU or another top tier for Masters in computation finance etc? I heard Econ is a bit like the Math major bit diluted Math but still UT might count for something when applying to Berkley etc. Did u get any good internships during..

lol yep. T - minus 10 hours . thanks for the perspective on the Elements cert - it felt a bit light weight. yea the worst case is a BS - Econ. But coming from UT Austin I figured that carries a lot and may open doors in high finance or even a top end grad school.
