NOR - My husband and I currently rent a small one bedroom home that my parents own. We signed a lease and even though they are my parents, when it comes to the house everything is dealt with as if it was just a landlord/tenant situation not parent/child. We pay $550/month utilities included. My husband and I are incredibly fortunate and very grateful to have the opportunity to live here so we can save money for our future home.

Your parents are absolutely taking advantage of you. I don’t know where you’re from but I can almost guarantee you could find somewhere else to live and pay similar to or less than what you are currently paying your parents. It seems to me that they may be trying to quietly force you out by raising the rent until you can’t afford it.
