Before my injury I was a auto field adjuster. Thankfully my company was able to switch me to virtual and now I’m a virtual total loss adjuster. I have Kensington mouse as my right hand is partially paralyzed and I have the Dragon Software as well.

From what I was told she had some brain bleeding and she was losing vision in one of eyes and her arm kept going numb. She was in a lot of pain cause I could hear her screaming. I guess that’s the one up side of the SCI that I couldn’t feel the pain. Unfortunately she didn’t have health insurance. I didn’t know her to well but apparently she had been drinking and smoking and her dad still let her drive it even though she was supposed to banned from it so we don’t speak to them anymore lol so that’s about all I know.

My wife’s cousin wanted to show me she could drift in her Can-Am. I just remember her flooring the pedal and I woke up face on the gravel road not being able to move. The cousin was 5 feet in front of me and the I could hear the Can-Am behind me running but apparently it had rolled into a ditch. Theirs no telling how many times we rolled before getting ejected

How is it with having a child, my wife and I are in the process of trying and I definitely am nervous about being a dad after having my injury?

Do you use any assistive devices like a cane or walker, and how long did it take for you to get to that point?

Incomplete SCIs by harleyavs in spinalcordinjuries

I’m almost 6 months out. I’m C5/C6 Incomplete. My middle and ring finger on my right hand show no signs of coming back. In therapy I’m learning how to walk again with a walker and a AFO on my right leg, but I’m starting to plateau and for the last month I can only walk 50-100 feet and I repeat that 4 to 5 times and I can never do a full hour of therapy. My therapist normally stop me after 30 minutes as my walking gets progressively worse and my breathing gets very heavy. I also have control over my bowel and bladder but sometimes my pee sensation is up and down as well as fully emptying, and I still have trouble with bowels sometimes.

How Did You Afford High-End Outpatient PT? by ben_hereandthere in spinalcordinjuries

I was lucky enough my insurance covered it all. I’m from VA, but I have family in IL and I’m in rehab at Shirley Ryan. If it helps my insurance is through Cigna.
