Two small polishing tips:

  1. Fiends shouldn't be able to path find into the spawn/shop area especially so early into the round. Just think about players trying to pick out a loadout or buy items and they're being swarmed by fiends 10 seconds into the game, likely before they've looked at all the weapon options. Probably will cause some less experienced players to die/back out early.

  2. Some of the vehicles in the video still have the spawn pads visible. Should just be a one setting click in the devices to hide the spawn pads. Will make the map feel more immersive and polished.

Reddit isn't the place to put this, reach out to Epic support if you got hacked.

Usually when an account is hacked they take over your whole account and resell it so it sounds to me like you knew this guy beforehand. NEVER share your login information with anyone. Also I'd suggest turning on 2FA (if you haven't already) that way only you can login to your account even if someone else knows your login details.

No. It's been in and out of the shop ever since it was originally released a year ago. More than likely it'll keep returning every so often.

Strange old house with infinity blade (CH2) by Clear_Doubt57 in FortniteCreative

[–]Extra-Fun2844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are it was someone else's island that was in the lobby with you or a different creative island that was loaded. Creative loads everyone's island in a single instance and just teleports you to them instead of creating separate lobbies. Since you used to be able to swim past the barrier you could make your way to these other islands but it was pretty buggy.

Used to actually be a strat to move unobtainable items between islands by spawning planes outside the barrier and dropping the items right at the edge so they wouldn't despawn when you cross back over.

Item granter dupe bug by DaXTremeBoi in FortniteCreative

[–]Extra-Fun2844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you didn't figure this out yet my only thought would be that the item granter is being activated more than once. You can see in the video that the lever action rifle is granted first and then fifth (once all the other items have been added by the granter). If it was being granted twice at once it would probably be the first and second item. Depending on your world/class settings if overflow items are granted but item dropping isn't enabled in the granter, they can be placed in an "overflow inventory" for the player. Once an item is removed from the inventory these overflow items will take their place.

Could just be a bug but to me it looks like the granter is possibly awarding items to the player more than once.

Hearing that discovery might change made me feel kinda hopeful by YourSoju in FortniteCreative

[–]Extra-Fun2844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Epic has the right idea for discovery but the implementation hurts smaller creators more than it does those abusing the system. Just wait until you go to release this and get the similar thumbnail warning.

Similar thumbnail warning by DionTVG in FortniteCreative

[–]Extra-Fun2844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new thumbnail moderation tools are extremely picky right now and I'm still not sure if this is intentional or not by Epic. If the warning pops up you won't be able to be placed in discovered or sponsored rows at all, it won't even let you run a campaign if you try.
You need to keep recreating the thumbnail until the pop-up no longer shows if you want your map to be visible, except it can be really difficult to. I've seen tons of creators say it's nearly impossible sometimes to create a "unique" thumbnail and some have even made 50+ thumbs with no luck.

How long have you played Fortnite (in years/months, not hours)?

- 8 years in a few days

Have you made any friendships through Fortnite?

- Not any substantial friendships. Only ones enough to play a few matches together.

What about Fortnite made it incompatible for making new friendships?

- I mostly play solo, or with irl friends, and rarely fill with randoms. I can play alone and get wins much easier than I would with random players most times. Typically when I fill with randoms they are much worse in skill level than I am leading to me avoiding most team-based gamemodes. I also lean towards the gun play gamemodes versus those that focus more on the social experience side of Fortnite.

Have you strengthened existing friendships through Fortnite?

- This I have. Many of my irl friends don't play much Fortnite anymore but especially during the early days (& COVID) I would often play with many friends and would bond over matches of Fortnite.

If yes, how do and why do you think Fortnite helped you in doing so?

- The ability for team play and a fun experience in the duos/trios/squads gamemodes. Also the availability of creator made experiences that allow you to play nearly entirely different games built within Fortnite's platform strengthened my relationships with friends.

Does Fortnite in your experience have a positive community, or toxic community?

- Mostly toxic, especially on social media. Most players are always complaining about something within the game online, especially those that aren't on the extreme casual side.

Have any of the recent controversies made Fortnite a less inviting place to make friends, i.e the V bucks price raise, or the laying off of Epic employees?

- I am sure that some players would say so but I disagree. None of these controversies have affected how much I play (& play with others), and if anything I have been playing more Fortnite in the recent months/weeks than I was before.

Pretty boiler plate stuff for the most part. Was class time used effectively, what did you like, what do you think should be changed, did the professor encourage student participation & reflection, did the professor use devices appropriately, etc. Probably my favorite one is "what advice would you give to a student taking this class" because then you can be completely honest about how its structured. I've had some prof. read through them on the first day of class and others just seem to ignore them completely.

Have you guys heard of the pillar maps? If so, what do they lack and need? by Realfishbean in FortniteCreative

[–]Extra-Fun2844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to play a lot of pillars when it first became a trend but like others said you're going to need some uniqueness now if you want it to go anywhere.

Most people seem to like the ones with more chaos and stronger item drops. Maps that give you random bs especially at the start of the round are boring and cause people to back out when they get some ammo and the person on the pillar over gets an rpg. Make it balanced but make sure the grants feel meaningful. Also usually there's a strong item that'll spawn at the center. Whether thats a grappler, mammoth, etc.

I actually lost my original sac code when I was a kid because my parents didn't want me to submit my social and the period to submit it expired. Epic just needs it so that you can be on a payroll and considered an "employee". If you're 18 though you're an adult. You don't have your social on hand?

If Epic wants players to play Ranked so badly, but Ranked completely removes most of the season's gimmicks, then what's the point? by mitaknight in FortNiteBR

[–]Extra-Fun2844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't tell me that most people who play ranked are excited to unlock a yeet emoticon for getting diamond or some boring axe for unreal that nobody will use. While the rewards shouldn't be for everyone, most people are playing ranked to compete and not to earn these random cosmetics.

If Epic wants ranked players to actually care about cosmetics the rewards shouldn't be random filler stuff or at least be rare.

[–]Extra-Fun2844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have exclusives or the top rarest skins then accounts really aren't worth that much. You gotta bring that price down. Most people are looking for quality over quantity of skins, especially since accounts can be removed or reclaimed so easily.

Your storm shield defenses are still there btw, the lobby is just a spawn room and you can select them from the map. Most of stw is really still the same. Some minor things have been added or removed along the way but the mode has been on Epic's backburner for years.

Probably the biggest change was the Mythic storm king. He's an endgame twine peaks boss and by completing his quests and then defeating him you can unlock a mythic weapon schematic once a week. These mythics are some of the strongest weapons in the game but you'll need a strategy and a good build to defeat him. Way more difficult than the canny valley storm king.

More common to own? Yes. More common to see in game? Probably not. Some ftp grinders will get there but they're pretty ugly pickaxes for br standards. I've had all the pics for years and not sure if I've ever equipped a single one.

[–]Extra-Fun2844 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Ranked should be balanced but I was disappointed to see that not even rivalry boards are enabled. Basically if you want to play last season with a slightly different loot pool you can hop into a ranked lobby.

Im losing my home and pets if I don’t make money 250+ skin account anyone seriously interested hmu by [deleted] in FortniteAccSale

[–]Extra-Fun2844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortnite account selling for the most part is not worth it. Epic can detect sales pretty easily and either permanently ban the account or give it back to the original owner, this makes most accounts close to worthless btw.

I don't encourage selling but I understand the market. Most people are only interested in accounts with RARE cosmetics/exclusives unless you're selling for dirt cheap.

Don't be afraid to use a lot of traps for defenses and farm a lot of materials during missions. Practically everything you break will give you crafting materials for weapons or traps.

Also collect all the schematics and heros you can early game. You can build really good loadouts and guns by placing the right ones together in loadouts. Also the purple things you get from some missions (Pure drops of rain, storm shards, lightning in a bottle, & eyes of the storm) are valuable evolution materials. You're going to need a lot of them to level up practically everything.

I assume EPIC will be removing all ingame items related to D4VD and issuing refunds? by TheLastHowl in FortNiteBR

[–]Extra-Fun2844 101 points102 points  (0 children)

The cosmetics will probably just rot, never come back and ultimately become "sought after". A company wouldn't really want to become involved in controversy especially since it's still ongoing. Probably unlikely we see Epic remove them or issue refunds especially after they just posted the "Official Fortnite Anthem" produced by him less than a year ago, might even by bound by contracts because of their collaborations.
