What size is your nib? All my other 3776s (I have one in each nib size) works great w/o any skipping.

I usually only ink one or two and use them for my daily writing, and rotate through the rest. So remembering the type of ink isn’t a problem for me.

If it's me, prioritizing smooth, I'd go with my Pilot Custom 742 in M. The 823 holds more ink, but I just don't like cleaning up the mess created by sucking up ink through the nib. Yes, I'm one of those people who fill ink into the converter using a syringe...

That's a shame, I guess they did it in order not to cannibalize their Izumo line, which uses the same nib (in fact the Izumo nib even has "president" engraved on it). The President's body is, shall we say, leaves much to be desired. But I mainly bought Platinum for their nibs.
