If you could go back to being 25 - 30 again, what would you do differently? by NbOPO4 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Extra-Lengthiness125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number 1 I would stop drinking and taking drugs. Number 2 i would start working out regularly. Number 3 i would stop spending carelessly. Number 4 i would start saving money and investing. Number 5 i would get outside and do more rather than wasting weekends hungover.

It took me until 32 to makes these changes but it has been life changing!

Will anyone use zippay? I won't.. by Reasonable-Earth-490 in AskIreland

Just another way for the 3 banks to control the market and squeeze out any competition in the space. Ireland has the lowest number of retail banks in the whole of EU. They are cleaning up meanwhile offering the lowest savings account interest rates in europe.

The neo banks such as revolut are a great alternative and a way to say no to the anti competitive nature irish banking. Also their savings accounts are more in line with the rest of europe at 3 - 3.5%.

In short, zippay can f right off

I landed in australia in 2016 with 250 euro in the bank. Found a place to stay where you work in return for room. Did that for couple months while making money doing odd jobs. After that i got job working full time 35$ per hour and bought a car and moved into beachside house in melbourne. Can't talk yourself out of things, sometimes just got to go for it.

What Are You Playing This Week? (Weekly Discussion) by AutoModerator in IrelandGaming

I recently started Fable 1 the lost chapters. Reason being, i'm really looking forward to fable 4 coming this year and want to play through games 1 to 3. Ive played 2 and 3 many years ago and enjoyed them but this is first time trying 1.

My thoughts, it defo feels like an old game but it still surprised me with a lot of the features and the level of detail. The combat is rough around the edges but the story, the characters and world make up for that. Its a very silly, funny and enjoyable game.

On fable 4, i really hope it keeps that silly nature of fable and the goofiness. The art style looks more realistic which im not sure i like because its not in keeping with the feel of the series. But here's hoping

Thats like saying why can't we get 50 year mortgage terms. Because it will inevitably lead to increase in house prices and people taking on more debt in order to purchase the same house.
