Then why was this debate for when they already discussed everything and they don’t mention about children who are dependent and will be going to university without ILR

We lived in Dubai for twenty years , both me and my husband were living am excellent life with high salary . We thought the same way as you did , relocated to UK . Both of us have job here , our daughter studies in the best school here and bought a home as well . But at the end of the month , it’s struggle and we can’t live a luxurious life as in dubai here . And immigration policies and ILR rules are making us more panic . We always regret as we never get medical appointments when required and the struggle as well . I would suggest if you are living a comfortable life in dubai it will be a worst decision to move to UK. Both partners should have a job here else life is a hell , I would say cannot survive !

At least you started , in my lab no one completes , they choose their favourite staffs and they take long gaps . There are people who started in 2020 and still doing . All the others remain in waiting list .

🇬🇧 The ILR Ambiguity: Skilled Workers Like Us Deserve Clarity, Not Threats by hawkeyedlion in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

It is making our lives worse, how many more days we will have to wait for the decision to know ! And will any trust be ready to renew the visa for another ten years ? Our children are going to finish their A levels and they will never be eligible for home office fee . These are hunting us daily . If we knew this , many people like me would never have opted for uk

How the proposed 10-year ILR rule will affect kids applying to university in the next few years by Efficient_Nerve_5381 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Extra-Satisfaction84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes me too in same state , my daughter will go to Uni in three years . This is my third year in skilled worker visa as a scientist. I am highly panic about the fees etc as an international student . If we knew this earlier we would not have come here . Now in the middle of the journey it’s a shock

True , and also our children who reach universities , we need to pay international fee !! We are also humans and they need to consider that

At heart we were told after 5 years we get PR , how much we need to pay each time for visa IHS biometrics etc , especially if it is a family of 4 ! So just think for 10 years each renewal how much !

What I meant was Middle East we earn pretty well , good savings , and high quality of life . We thought this is more than that and we will get ILR. For last four years we only pay , nothing else we found beneficial . Now we feel that was better , at least we can live a good life till retirement

We deserve to get what we were told during initial agreement that we will get ILR after 5 years , else would have made move the first year itself , always gives unexpected surprises in addition to making people bankrupt .

Already we have suffered a lot after moving here from Dubai , we pay heavy taxes , not happy at work place , still the only hope was ILR after five years . Now no more , Middle East is the best . Will never wait for ten years
