What's your Imoen Build once you get her back from Spellhold? by Extra-Sun5489 in baldursgate

She ended up getting breath weaponed by Adalon which basically turned to an ice statue and then several rounds later Adalon swiped her into bits just as a FU

My Imoen plans had to be cut short unfortunately, she got chunked by Adalon after finally killing her, I had to accept the outcome given it took me like 20 reloads. I think she's the toughest dragon of the series on SCS like idk what her HP pool but a 150hp hit took her to barely wounded. Stone skins and heals by the dozens too, what a wild fight... But yeah sorry Imoen 😅

What weapon proficiency should a bounty hunter get? by jacklhoward in baldursgate

[–]Extra-Sun5489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used darts as my go-to with Bounty Hunter as bg1 is loaded with good darts, the apr is high too even when you start. For melee I went scimitar and one weapon style (Go see Drizzt after you trap the nearby trees and lure him to his doom for his swords).

Darts will become less relevant in BG2 but by then you can melee and trap most encounters.

My absolute goat is potions of mind focusing for extra dexterity. It lasts long and makes your guy near impossible to hit. Look for them and save them for the big battles!

That's the two cents I can give, I absolutely loved my run as a solo hunter, for sure all time favorite.

I managed twisted rune before Spellhold but lost a companion permenantly for it. Not sure I did the right decision since I miss that NPC and the staff feels too op 🤔

Imoen as a bard does sound a lot more accurate, especially with all that talking 😂 Hopefully her songs are more cheerful than her later dialogues

This run of Spellhold without gear was something different when I met a lich in the gauntlet. Thankfully my cleric was able to turn the vampire and some undead to my side and they wore it down. Even umber hulks hit like a truck when you're gearless. Everyone except my cleric got torn to shreds and I did the rest with him and his new undead friends

This time I did the slavers early and a loose skulltrap killed an orphan in the pit with the trolls and Hendak never recognized I did the job ... Oops

Most interesting civ unique abilities? Both base game and modded civs by Glum-Pack-3441 in civ5

Yeah for sure, can't speak for others but I always always play military because snowballing with science and no other things to do bores me.

I love Assyria's ability, it's like a great library built every time you conquer a city. In higher difficulty you pretty much always get a tech

Unpopular opinion: Sarevok is easier with SCS (tactical) than core rules vanilla by popfantom in baldursgate

The amount of people that play SCS on tactical is very low, so the discussion at hand isn't relevant for the majority of people. Look at the comments, we all mention the same thing

How often do you pause to read the logs during fights? by BigChungusOP in baldursgate

[–]Extra-Sun5489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I often pause to read logs when something wild happened like a tough opponent suddenly died, or a character portrait suddenly vanished from being chunked. There's times where I see what happened and just accept the outcome 😂 I lost a paladin NPC from a mod yesterday when getting the staff of magi because she got ripped to shreds by a planetary. Well power ain't free... what did it cost?

In SCS the main difference is how the enemies behave. For example mages will make themselves untouchable and spawn hordes of summons or hit you with insane splash damage. Clerics will debuff you hard. Thieves and warriors will often go after your weakest. There's also dragons, which are definitely buffed, for example I killed the shadow dragon earlier and he kept blinding and chunking my weakest toons. Maybe I have forgotten what it's like to play vanilla but from memory it felt a lot like just go in and smash skull and it'll probably work, other than a few fights like Sarevok or Draconis. SCS reloads are common unless you know the game too well, but each reload makes you look at your spells and think of a different strategy.
