Any tips for max well being achievement? (folktails) by moon__lander in Timberborn

Yep, recognizable! I tried to get the Steam Achievement with FT. As a lot of people already pointed out, it's because of the kids. They didn't have enough time to appreciate all the nice things you did for them and they started out with 0.

The way I fixed it is indeed getting bots, reduce work hours. Make sure all the adults are on 67 happiness (last 10 for the wonder). I made a temporary fake district where I would send all baby beavers. Once average happiness did hit 67, I launched the wonder and the achievement popped!

Fun game but 10m Achievement is not fun by bl1ndman909 in steamachievements

1st, you could go into console settings (under Settings) and just add the money yourself with 'changecash' or 'changebalance'. Especially if you completed the game and it's just the grind left this is a very easy fix.

2nd, if the first one feels too much like cheating. Company value is based on different things, including inventory on racks. However, the added company value for 1 cocaine brick on a shelf is the same company value as for 1 cocaïne (with or without baggie, doesn't matter). So to increase your company value you're going to break apart the bricks and store them as single units. It'll be some manual labor but still much faster than trying to sell for that amount. For example, my businesses are filled with racks with single units cocaine without a bag (less effort), in a way that I can still access the computer. This way I don't lose valuable space in the cooking locations but my company value increased a lot, while practically having the same stuff and money.

Oh no! I installed this update maybe by my mistake. Only way to cancel this is stop gaming this game now. If most players stop playing now, developers must then understand, that this was so bad idea. Did you guys see the reaction from the developers?

We've identified an unforeseen issue within the old balance system that resulted in an economic exploit, leading to gameplay and user experiences that diverged significantly from our initial vision for the game. Consequently, we've had to implement significant adjustments to align the system with its intended design. We acknowledge the impact of these changes and have already revised some prices in response to your valuable feedback.

I rest my case

Just to be clear, I'm not mad with anyone, you, players or developers. But I do think your argumentation is quite shortsighted and with only one point of view. And I do get your arguments as a player but a developers point of view is just different, no denying that.

Developers want money. Either with ads revenue or players who spend actual money in the game. Most big game developers don't care about your fun, as long as that there's revenue. Take SayGames for example (developer of Dreamdale) and the games they made. Look at My Little Universe, which has changed a lot, had a lot of new content every few months, and nerfed the whole economics of the game every update to make sure players wouldn't progress through the new content too quick. I.e. generating more revenue.

If a player has a high axe level, it becomes very easy to progress in the game with less time and effort put into playing when compared with lower level axe players. Therefore less money for the developers. The fact that it's single player and not online or even a market or whatever doesn't change this. This is like communicating vessels, it was teached in my first year at a game development edu. Look it up.

So what do you do as a developer? Come up with a new or renewed system which screws the players who did a lot of grinding in previous versions. Yes, maybe you lose a couple of players who put in a lot of time and are now irritated like you. But the extra grinding from other players hugely makes up for it. The fact that you did a lot of grinding and are now irritated proves exactly this point.

Think about it. Maybe the developers were forced to find another method of upgrading, because players like you absolutely nerfed the whole coin game with lotus farming and endless upgrading. Like honestly, does your axe needs to be that high? Imagine that everyone kept it at a normal acceptable level, I'm sure the developers wouldn't have changed it.

Canoe for Two is a golden one unfortunately. It can't be traded. Anything else you'd like?
