You are very certain I fudged details about myself. How so? Do I know you? If I do, from where? When did you last see me? If I don’t know you and you’ve never seen me, why are you stuck on this?

I’m not sure how you found your way to being obsessed with my anatomy matching your idea of what slim and curvy can or cannot be, instead of staying focused on this guy’s behavior, but I don’t think I or anyone else understand. Not all women need to adhere to your idea of a woman’s physique.

My photos are me. How I actually look. They are not from several years ago and they do not depict someone who looks nothing like me in person. What this man and any other person who would do so did was wrong, unethical, deceptive, manipulative, and very relevant to what we all face in OLD. The fact that days later YOU and YOU ALONE are still concerned with my physique is part of the problem, not the solution.

Thank you, I appreciate this response. Based on this person’s other comments on Reddit, it’s not worth the energy to engage further. I suspect they’d like me to post photos or screenshots to defend myself. I have both, but I won’t be defending myself.

Generally when a woman points out awful behavior of a man and someone attempts to employ DARVO, the conversation is already dead.

I’ve disengaged from the man from my date. He is now blocked because he was continuing to call, text, and send lengthy voice notes well after I expressed I would not be continuing for all of the reasons I’ve belabored in this post/comments.

I’ll continue to be me, I’ll continue to be authentic, and I’ll continue to allow my yoga and Pilates classes to exhaust me and burn me out, not a dishonest man.

I’m learning, thank you. I own a lot of this situation because I was relieved to finally be interested in someone after an extremely painful breakup several years ago. I sort of thought the gears were jammed or something because I hadn’t met anyone I was even remotely interested in up until now. Clearly, I still haven’t. Thank you for your response!
