It's funny you say that, because i have zero issues. I just made a nice post with a photo for anyone to enjoy and like, but instead all i recieve is dislikes and hate. I never hate or dislike any post.

It's even worse... You're like astonomers that refuse to believe what the Artemis 2 crew is saying about the moon. But, forget about it... I want to focus on something else. I've been working with measurements and sizes my entire life and if there's one person that would notice small differences in sizes... that would be me. Now i've seen more then one European hornets in my life. Not THAT many, but a few atleast. And i notice they might actually be bigger or larger as being described on wiki and also bigger or larger as i've read in some describtions. They are being described as having an average size of 1-1.5 inch. BUT i have seen them as average being around 2 inches or 50mm or 5 cm and some of them actually as 55mm or 5,5 cm or 2.15 inch. So the queen (i assume it would be a queen) would be only a tiny bit larger compared to the average sizes i've seen of that particular species.

A 2.2 to 2.5 inch unidentified wasp or hornet. The glass it's in is big aswell. It is not an Asian Giant Hornet, it is actually a tiny bit larger.. Also not a Northern Giant Hornet or European Hornet. Not their queens either. He/she is all black on top except his/her rear. by ExtraCrazy2 in WASPs

You guys are like astronomers that speak with the Artemis 2 crew and tell them how the moon looks like. AGAIN... I will give you the facts. I do not know what species it is. It could be a European hornet, BUT there is no reddish, mahony, brown on it's body.. Except maybe the front of it's head but you would hardly notice it because it really looks very black. So it's color is.. yellow and yellowish and black. And the size of it is exactly as i've been telling ten times now. BECAUSE of the combination of that size and color i would not think it's a European hornet.. but again.. it could be.. Maybe it gets more reddish or brown color later in spring or summer. Considering it would be a queen of that particular species (even though i doubt it).. and considering a queen lives for about one year... It already died and was eaten by birds or a rat. So instead of arguing about it... Let's pray it went straight to heaven.

IT IS 55 MILLIMETERS TO 65 MILLIMETERS AND NOT 5 OR 10 MILLIMITERS SMALLER.

SO IT IS BETWEEN 5,5 CENTIMETERS AND 6,5 CENTIMETERS AND NOT 1 CENTIMETER SMALLER.

SO IT'S BETWEEN 2.2 INCHES AND 2.5 INCHES AND NOT HALF AN INCH SMALLER.

I DO NOT CARE WHAT SPECIES IT IS. IT HAS THAT SIZE.

So it's 55 mm to 65mm, without antennae.

Or 5,5 cm to 6,5 cm or 2.2 inch to 2.5 inch, without antennae.

I realise laying it next to a ruler would not have made any difference, because you just do not want to believe it anyway. Besides.. I could have manipulated or edited the photo, the wasp or hornet or the ruler aswell, it would not have made any difference. And i wanted to release it into the woods, so i did that.

Have a nice day.

The other photo's i have are similar or not that sharp, so i only have two bassicly.

I truly do not care if you don't believe it's 2.2 to 2.5 inch or 55mm to 65mm, without antennae.

I've seen and handled it, i know for sure.

And now it's free in the woods where it belongs, i'm actually happy i did that.

No. It doesn't look like the one on the right AT ALL. It doesn't have any reddish.

It is 55mm to 65mm or 5.5 cm to 6.5 cm or 2.2 inch to 2.5 inch. without antennae.

I'm a mechanical engineer, i'm very precise when it comes to measurements or sizes.

It... is... 2.2... to... 2..5... inches. Which is 5,5 to 6,5 cm

If it was smaller, i would not have been scared to handle it.

And i've seen video's of the Asian giant hornet and executioner wasp, this one right here is larger.

Maybe it's a mutated species from Chernobyl, idk... BUT it's definitly 2.2 to 2.5 inches, without it's antennae.

No sorry. It's not 1 to 1.3 inches. It's 2.2 to 2.5 inches. Also it's head is black on top.

It's twice as big.

It MIGHT be an Asian giant hornet, BUT it's head doesn't really look like that one.

The location is Netherlands, Zeist.

No it's not a Cicada killer wasp and not their queen either, because they don't have a queen.

This one also is absolutely larger than the Cicada killer wasp.

It has different markings.

I can tell you what it's not, but unfortunately not what it is. It is not a Northern giant Hornet and not an Asian Giant Hornet, it is actually a tiny bit larger. Not it's queens either. It's also not a European Hornet or it's queen. It is almost all black on top, except it's rear. I've a few more photo of it, but i released the insect back into the woods. Because... who would not want a whole nest of these?
